I got a sealed pot already and put £31 in yesterday from another money pot. I'm not going to be putting anything under 10p in my sealed pot as it will fill up too quickly. Anything under 10p will go into another non sealed pot as i'm less likely to dip into such money.
Of course you can join honeypooh. If you haven't already please read the first post (it's "conveniently" at the top of this page if you are using the new blue scheme). Well done on your savings so far, that's a fantastic total to be starting with.
Sue will be along as soon as she can i'm sure to give you your very own number. She is needed to look after her family at the moment so is a bit slower at dishing out the numbers. Don't fear though, by asking to join we already consider you as part of the family. Make yourself at home, don't hog the remote and the cookies on the table are freshly baked. Help yourself......
I have been at work too much today.

Lovely to see you all again everyone, I'm so sorry not to have returned sooner, but DD has relapsed again (thought her sight is getting a little better), far too soon for my liking, but I have to be realistic in thinking and knowing she's not alone with this dreadful disease, and...there are a lot worse ones folk have to suffer from or worse!! That at least is the way DH & I get through. Many thanks again for your lovely thoughts and wishes, folks, I don't know what I'd do without your support, I will keep you informed. BTW, also at the moment I've huge PC problems and have to buy another laptop - so, if anyone can recommend one I'd be grateful as I've not got a lot of time or ability to research them. I'm hoping for another Laptop about 14" wide so please let me know if you know of one, thanks so much.
Hugs to all those in need of them, keep as well and as happy as is possible.
A gold star to Kerry :staradmin, Westie :staradmin, scotmumof3 :staradmin, Ruth :staradmin (thanks for letting folk know I'm a little indisposed) & for very informative welcomes.
Well done with the £100 into savings in your account, Kerry, and well earned too!
Good work with the £22.50 cheque earned, Lost and thanks for the piggy hug. :T
Keep striving, Donna, as it'll all add up.
Lynsey wrote:Sue - tough decisions to make. I would on a personal level, go with the experts advice, but equally and ultimately, it's an individual choice. Good luck and wishes to you and your family.
Just watching the election results and not a single SPC (Sealed Pot Challenge) seat!! Even UK have one seat!! What went wrong with our campaign??
To the latter part, Lynsey, our votes went to.....pot!! Best I could do. Regarding the treatment, I agree wholeheartedly with you, but she's so scared of both, although she did say today she's heard slightly better things about the Tysabri now so I have my fingers crossed in one sense, but hubby & I are also a little fearful to say the least. At present they've sent her 3 lots of Injection treatments (DD would inject herself either once or 3 times a week depending which one she goes for, if she does) and we've been watching the DVDs on each. Devil and the deep blue spring to mind. Thanks Lynsey. xx
How are you going with the foot, Lynne? I do hope it soon heals, but meanwhile be careful with it.
Brilliant work reaping in with DH's forgetfulness, JoJo!!!

That was lovely for your Mum, 32b3, not to mention thoughtful.Frogletina wrote:Might use my sealed pot money to put in my holiday account for next year - do you think it could be like the magic porridge pot!
I know November seems a long way off now, Frogletina, but it's amazing how fast those months will go! Putting your SPC cash away for next year's holidays is a great idea, I do though I don't know about a magic porridge pot!
I see you're having problems, dreamingofmoney, but just do your very best to save all you can, and whatever you end up with, be so proud!
None of us can always be can't always be happy, happy, happy, Helen, but as you rightly say, we can all keep plodding along - and be thankful. Take care of yourself and always keep your head held high. xx :grinheart
So sorry to hear hay fever's got you, jakes-mum, fingers crossed for you after the rapeseed flower is over, keep away from too much grass, especially long grass, as that gives off a lot as well.joee wrote:I want to start by apologising for being so AWOL, I have been quite ill in a physical and emotional sense - unfortunately this is something long term that I have realised that I am going to have to start accepting.
Anyways enough of being sad, some good news I would like to share is that I am finally debt free! I have got some stuff to pay out then I am going to pot more regularly!
Hi Lucy! Lovely to see you back and FANTASTIC news about your dream having come true!!!! :j:T :jYou know how thrilled I am for you, I really am!! I'm so sorry to hear about you having been so rough again, but stay hopeful as you never know, one day they may have better medicines for you too! :grinheart I sincerely hope so, and thank you so much for your lovely words, words mean so much and yes, I'm coping. You take care and I'm here for you.
I'm so chuffed you had such a lovely weekend, Merry, just the 'treatment' you need too, and thanks so much.
GREAT NEWS about your finances, Flutterby, I'm sooooo very happy for you all. :T :j
