Hiya everyone and well done all the potting potters :D

Thanks a million for all the good wishes.

Well I was pulled and pushed - not quite screaming - to the A & E this afternoon. I was there for THREE AND A HALF HOURS  Three x-rays later (tibia, fibula and ankle) and I came back with some strong painkillers and some anti-inflammatory pills.

There's nothing broken but lots of other damage, which has caused some circulation problems and hence the very swollen and painful leg as well as foot. Now confined to bed or settee with foot raised, cold packs three times daily and only allowed to walk to loo or kitchen for five minutes if absolutely necessary for at least the rest of the week :(

So won't be doing anything rest of week - sorry not even potting

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

    Morning potters

Well I'm starting to annoy myself with this stupid cough, it's just in the wrong place that every time I need to cough I can't breathe. Completely deaf in the right ear and the pain is all in the drum an going through my jaw and teeth! Never had that before!

Last 2 days have actually been on painkillers (something I never take due to a rediculous tablet phobia) DH is a bit worried I think as I'll happily sit through a huge amount of pain rather than swallow those things, but this cold is hitting me for six.

DH gave me a few coins for the pot and I'm sure I chucked some change in there as well but I can't remember how much.

Right I need some breakfast and a cup of tea (not that I can taste much) so have a lovely day all

Ugh Westie, you've got it too! :( am getting the blood in my ear feeling as well, or it sounds like the ocean (that one I don't mind so much :p) have yet to take painkillers today so am hoping this means it might be about to break and I'll finally start getting over the ruddy thing! Colds are NOT supposed to make you feel this bad!

I'm pretty sure I have some change . . . I'm almost positive . . But bag is too far away to go find out how much and pot it :o

    Hiya everyone

Thanks for all the kind wishes.

Potted 40p change from our take-away Chinese and it was pretty yuk :( Pretty much a waste of money imo

The Links Market has arrived on the seafront and opened today. It began in 1304 and I think was originally a weekly farmer's market. In 1305 the king granted a charter to hold a yearly Spring fair, which would have included entertainment/s as well. It has grown to be a full-blown fair, the first of the year and highlights all the new rides. There are videos on U-tube if interested.

They tend to move some of the 'rides' each year and this year we have Waltzer, kiddies roundabout, Jumping Frog, Giant Wheel and Mouse ride in view of our balcony. Just a shame not warm enough to sit outside today but fingers xd for the week-end.

Get well vibes for all the poorlies and (hugs) if you need one

Hope you all have a super Thursday

Is it possible to catch a cold on here? I've got one too, I've been sneezing, sniffing and my voice has almost gone :-(

I must go and see if I have any change to pot.... That's what I'm meant to do on here isn't it?!

    Afternoon everyone,

after getting new contact lenses, and having my parents visit yesterday, I'm adding £4.93 to the pot.

I've got a budget of £50 for the next two weeks, in the hopes that I can finally make a start on getting rid of some of my overdraft.

Hope you all have a great day :)
