  • I had £4 left over on friday so i used £2 of it to make a bet on the weekends football, all my teams won so I'm due £5.19 back. I rarely gamble and wont be making a habit out of it but its nice to put £7.19 in instead of £4.

Got paid for a volunteer job, I have been doing since Sept 2014. It is just 2 hours teaching on a Sunday, which I took on as I enjoy the work. The Head teacher decided to pay me something for the effort (and of course the materials/stationery I constantly need and use). It was a whopping £50. DD, DH and my Mum decided it was my first "salary" from this job and demanded £5 each. Tried arguing that it wasn't a salary and that this event may not repeat itself went to deaf ears. Eventually potted £30 after taking another £5 for a book I had to purchase. I hope the Head is this considerate at every term end :D

    Hi Sue

Would you be able to add a target to mine of £500. I need something to push me along and a target might do it.

    Thanks

Just counted through my change and filled my money box with exactly £7 in the form of
    £1 x 4
    50p x 3
    20p x 6
    10p x 3

Bringing my total to £36.70 in my money box so far! Slowly getting there :P

Update: Grabbed something from the shop, £3 change added to the pot.

    So £10 added :P
No more making the same mistakes!

    Good evening everyone :hello:

Another one who has been AWOL, but still potting - albeit slowly. Not that much has been potted, but not that much has been spent so my other savings are benefiting!

However, back on the potting "horse", as it were. 80p potted today! :j
