Hi,
Is it too late to join?
Having just become a single mum of 3 I really want to find the easiest ways of saving for christmas and seeing as I have been kind of doing this it would be good to start a sealed pot and keep a count of how much I have in it. This might spur me on to find a bit more I think.
Our revered leader Sue will be along to give you the official welcome and a saver number, which you add to your signature.

Morning all.
eveie189 - welcome and good luck with your savings. Saving for Xmas is a good thing, as it can be expensive. Wishes on being a single Mum of 3 and I can understand why you want to have Xmas under control.
lynnejk - that sounded a nice trip - shame about your purse, but it could have been a lot worse. [STRIKE]Scumbags!![/STRIKE]
32b3in2013 - we want to go to Italy, but not much choice from up here!! Hubby wants to go to southern Italy (Brindisi) and explore the "working class" area (Puglia etc). Maybe 2016 from a London airport??
Potted 2 x £1 coins to start the week. Hoping for another £10'ish for the week ahead.
I'm not too sure if any of you are aware of the "£5 site"??
http://www.everything5pounds.com/
Some interesting "bargains" and possibly worth a look for holiday stuff?? Shoes?? Cheaper to buy new than getting the heels done!! I've made a small order, so see what the quality and sizes are like. P&P are extra, but very reasonable.

I found that site about six months ago I found the shoes come up small, but I have bought a few pairs of leggings and jumpers from them and they fit well, the only thing I would say is buy enough items to make the P&P worth while as they post dependant on weight, so I ended up buying a few more items then checking the P&P and seeing how the price changed, so I ended up with a few more items for the same P&P cost.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Ahh thank you all for your words, unfortunately with DS its a bit more than just 'terrible teens'
am currently sitting on him hard (figuratively, not actually! though tbh he could bloomin do with it
) and have told him in no uncertain terms what his decisions are doing to the rest of the household.
Am mightily annoyed with myself as i've just dropped the lid for my tea canister and smashed itam very upset as it was a set of 3 my sister bought me when DH and I first moved into this house for christmas, and though they weren't expensive it was the first 'nice' householdy item we'd owned so they had a bit of sentimental value to me
On a happier note, have booked our family holiday for October and we are NOT telling the kids! cannot deal with 'how many days is it now till we go? well how many sleeps is that? what time do we fly? can I have the window seat? no I want the window seat! im sitting next to mummy not you! . . . . ' see I already know the script, I don't need it rehearsed for me x infinity :rotfl:
I have change, its all ready to pot . . . but i've left my purse in the kitchenso . . . . nothing in the pot!
