Lyndsey where are you off to later in the year? Im surprised that you are able to book flights for 2016 already..
The flights with easyJet are available until the end of February 2016.
We had already booked the Algarve for October and just booked Tenerife for November (same as last year) and a short break after Xmas, in January, to the Costa del Sol (usually some fantastic 4* h/b hotel deals then, so not booked rooms yet). All cheap to be honest and maybe less all together than a week in August peak!!
We have decided not to have a break until October (unless something silly pop ups) and hoping for a decent summer in the UK (from mid-April - September).
Compensation - hubby threatened to go to the Ombudsman for many months of hassle with a telecom company. They owed us money, but were reluctant to refund it. It would have cost more to go to the Ombudsman, so £30 is an easy target.
The weather has picked up here after an iffy start. Fingers crossed for a nice Easter weekend.

Lynsey sounds like you are a high flyer and enjoy your holidays good for you, I haven't been to Tenerife or CDS, but I have the algarve, hope you can get a bargain hotel room when you are able to book...
Great news on the compensation front telecom companies are a nightmare along with enegy ones I am still trying to get credit back from my energy company, I had a refund in Oct, Jan and last bill showed another credit, stupid people keep putting my DD up then I have to make the phone call to get the refund!!! if they just took the amount I keep saying would cover the cost of my usage (they say that is too low to imput into their computer and I can't pay on receipt of bill as my tariff is DD only)
I suppose they are winning as they have my money earning them interest and not me..... hopefully when I get the credit back I am able to pot it...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. £4 added from my purse, change from the midnight pizza I had when on my spa overnighter, when i got the munchies, it was far cheaper then paying for 24hour room service as the hotel only offered sandwiches after 8pm and charged £3 for tray service, but you couldn't collect from the kitchen (what a swizzle) so the pizza was the cheaper option and far more enjoyable then a £8 cheese sandwich....
£1 are adding up nicely...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. Hiya everyone :hello:
Back from holidays travelling in Italy, Sicily and Malta. Had a super time, walked miles and miles, ate and drank loads and only one wet day. Only bu**er was my purse was stolen in Napoli - no money, just cards - but only caused inconvenience, a bit of transaction monies and some phone calls so not drastic thank goodness.
It's just taken me ages to catch up all the thread and sorry if I've missed anyone.scotmumof3 wrote: ȣ1.04 potted for me today
Good news!! Dhs biopsy has shown he has dysplasia of the vocal chords and although the doctors will have to keep an eye on him from now on there is no sign of cancer. I can't tell you how relieved we arechasingthedream wrote: »I'd also like to announce the safe arrival of my daughter Lucy who was born on the 5th March (can't believe it Sue) weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces. Hi lynnejk.
Welcome home.Sounds like a fab time, though bu99er about purse being stolen.
Yes,I am on the decluttering thread, though real life has got in the way of my efforts at the moment. But it was a constant slog for 3 solid months getting the 3 bedrooms decluttered, painted, decorated, carpetted, and swapped around between 4 kids,so don't mind taking a break for a little while.I am still following the thread, and will be back and running very soon.
I love following the Kondo thread, but haven't read the book.I like some of the ideas, but not sure I could follow it to the letter.
I wonder if Hickles has had her baby yet?
I have money to pot,but too lazy to go and do it now. Will post back when I know exactly how much it is.

Hi,
Is it too late to join?
Having just become a single mum of 3 I really want to find the easiest ways of saving for christmas and seeing as I have been kind of doing this it would be good to start a sealed pot and keep a count of how much I have in it. This might spur me on to find a bit more I think.April GC 9th-7th may £0/£3200
