Another £1.23 potted for me today after raiding the handbag and finding another change purse in it. I seem to have put these things everywhere so clearly this is the right challenge for me.

    Hope everyone is well

    Hi Everyone

Back after a lovely weekend in the Peak District. The rain and wind did not spoil my break. Got lots of knitting done :j

Obviously not much potting was done but I have 50p x 2 in my purse, so have potted that.

Looking back on some old posts. It's good to see there's been a lot of potting going on over the past few days! Merrylegs - Great to hear such good news!
Well done on becoming debt free

  • Hello everyone :)

Hope you're all well! Have still been potting my change and today I banked £771.80 (miscounted one of the bags!) but I'm so pleased I've managed to save that much! Now giving the bank card back to my boyfriend to put in a secret location so I don't have my paws on it until I need to bank more pennies  x

Is it too late to join?

Having just become a single mum of 3 I really want to find the easiest ways of saving for Christmas and seeing as I have been kind of doing this it would be good to start a sealed pot and keep a count of how much I have in it. This might spur me on to find a bit more I think.

It's never too late to join us, evie189 (please see below for your No). A very warm welcome to you! It's lovely to have you with us. forums.moneysavingexpert.com Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. Please read through post 1as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

A gold star to you, Lynne, and thanks for sorting evie out with all the details. :staradmin BTW, I like the revered bit!! :A

I know you're away with your Grandkiddies, cattysmum, but I'm hoping you have an amazing time and stay free of this bally wind! The kiddies will love the break anyway, you too I'll bet.

I haven't been potting much as I realised I had no money in my car-parking change pot in the car, so I've been saving there instead. But did pot the £1 that was left in my purse AR the end of today.

Never mind, Seaotter, get your holding pot back up to a reasonable amount (blasted car park robbers!) then get stoking your main pot again. Good luck with it.

I'm so pleased you've got your holidays booked, Lynsey, something lovely to look forward to, after Christmas too! Well done with the compensation. :j

An £8 cheese sandwich, Westie983??? Laced with diamonds too I s'pose! I hope you manage to get your money back from the electric, mine was easy last year and is now well saved!

I hope you've had a wonderful time, 32b3, and really enjoyed your time off. Not long til the weekend for you!! :j

Good for you with the mini win, Chutney, better luck going higher next time.

    Hiya everyone :hello:

Back from holidays travelling in Italy, Sicily and Malta. Had a super time, walked miles and miles, ate and drank loads and only one wet day. Only bu**ER was my purse was stolen in Napoli - no money, just cards - but only caused inconvenience, a bit of transaction monies and some phone calls so not drastic thank goodness.

Helloooo again Lynne!! :hello: It's great to see you back and know, bar the purse incident, you've had such a lovely time. It sounds great having been to all 3 countries, brilliant!

Thanks for the heads-up to everyone about the £5er site, Lynsey, best have a gold star for helping us all. :staradmin

Brilliant saving, scotmumof3!!! :j All best wishes and thoughts for your DH with his throat.

I'm so sorry to hear about your smashed tea cannister lid, jakes-mum, I know what that's like. :( I also understand what wayward lads are like, but they get passed it all...one day! ;) Time to look forward to that holiday now.

To your answer about were we like it, Modesty......NO, never! :naughty: I was a good girl I was. :rotfl:

Very well done with your win, savings my hobby!

What a nice gift that cash was, Baby Angel, fingers crossed for more thoughtful times for you. BTW, being promoted from Moneysaving Convert to Moneysaving Stalwart is definitely something to celebrate by potting cash!! :j No, Westie's PPPPPP post is not a challenge...only to herself. I wouldn't say she's potty, though puggled might be more the word to go for. :rotfl:

Would you be able to add a target to mine of £500. I need something to push me along and a target might do it.

    Thanks

All done, kartingmad, now do your very best in reaching it...or getting VERY close!

It's wonderful to hear you feeling so much better, Helen, I'd go for it being your Dr upping your Thyroid Medication as it always affects me like that whereas I'm always feeling low when it's down. I'm delighted to hear you so happy about Easter, you'll have a wonderful time with the family. Drive safely both ways! :D
