£4 odd chucked in the pot today.. also bagged myself a part time delivery job happy with the 20 hours or so it is.. brings in some much needed money
sue- nope no new pot yet.. although to be fair ive been trying to avoid using the car and spending money this week haha
BTW I'm still using the same old plastic pot with a hole cut in the top of the screw-top lid and retaped it up for this year. I think it originally held stain-remover powder (similar to the disappearing stuff but much cheaper of course) :rotfl:
My Christmas 'treat' has been organised. As DH and myself are here Christmas Day we are going out for Xmas lunch :T So no planning, organising, ordering, shopping, cooking or washing-up !!!What a lovely present eh ?
Potted £ 1 coin today
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday

I totally agree, Saver-upper, it's stood me in great stead throughout the last couple of years. You'll be onto a winner with your potted £9.99 fees! Try brisk walking to help shift the weight, a LOT cheaper too! Well spotted with all that roadkill!!! :j
Why not use a different and lockable pot, jakes-mum. I've got a fat wooden chicken that has a screwed bottom (ooh er!) and serves the purpose well for notes.
Ahh can't buy a new tin Sue as DD is supposed to be buying me one for christmas and would be most upset with me if I bought any kind of money box before thenOnce she has given me my can opener tin I will happily pop all my notes in there, until then I shall just have to alleviate my local bank of all its £2 coins
Talking of which
26 x £2 coins in the £2 coin tin and £3.93 into the shrapnel tin, plus a further 3.09 from my fuel savings :T still owe the tin 27p from previous savings and 60p from a reduced cake I was going to buy but decided was just me buying it because it was reduced, so put it back, but I ran out of change :rotfl:
I wont be on much for the next 23 days as its now officially ADVENTS TIME! i have been on the comps board since 9am and only just finished! seriously, was an amazement that the family actually got fed today!SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

I wanted to pay for all of us (10 people) to go out for lunch on Christmas Day this year but my nieces and nephews refused to go out as nowhere would have "nanny's" Turkey stuffing. You just can't please some people!!
£2.59 potted today. I took my nephew to the cinema so that's the change from the tickets and the sweets (from the £ shop)
I hope everyone is well

Does anyone know where to get potting tins that haven't got Disney characters on? I've looked in The Works and 99p shop and that's all they've got and I detest Disneyso I'm not getting those!
rosyq I managed to get one from home bargains at the weekend that has tenners printed on it !! Inspiration and hope
Also got one from there last year that had kittens on a bit twee but hubby said appropriate seen as I am the crazy cat lady
.... And they were only 89p so more change for potting
Will be potting a fiver for not taking lunch today and also some change - can't remember how much :rotfl: will be doing that first thing in the morning now as I'm in bed and can't be bothered to get back out:D

Spent abit of time sorting out my end-of-month/beginning of month budget, and change left over from November budget has been potted: £3.48,including a £1.
My December budget is already unbalanced .Never mind.If I get sick of trying to work out why I have more cash in my purse than my spending diary says I should (usually means I have forgotten to write down a spend),I will just have to empty some more of it into my pot :j :rotfl:.

Oh, that's great news, mcjordi, well done! You always come across as a canny chap, and only using the car as and when necessary certainly proves it.Flutterby83 wrote: »It's been a few days since I checked in (my house seems to permanently be in a state of chaos!) but have potted some change and the £10 I saved on my food shop earlier thanks to a voucher from last weekI've remembered to subscribe to this lovely new thread and will hopefully be able to find more time to keep up with everyone posting! Hope everyone is doing ok x
You're going the right way with saving, Flutterby, and I'm delighted you're so happy with the thread.
You make a very astute Mum & Daughter team, Iolanthe, sounds as though you both came off well.
All the best in achieving your Target, Aloofdragon, did you want me to pop it alongside your name ans No on the list?
Look out, N6CNH, or you'll soon be forking out for new jeans - and all done to SPC!!! :rotfl: Nice savings!
Oh dear, beccah, your poor lad! Such a shame after getting such good placings, well done to him :T, though commiserations also! Very frugal minded sticking to that same pot, Lynne! I bet shope make a fortune each year from those who buy new ones, not me, I'm too tight, although I've got the best anyway!!! :j I'm so happy to hear your news of Christmas lunch out with your DH, you deserve it...enjoy it all!!!!!
Flipping heck, jakes-mum, you spent nearly all day on the comps board???!!! Nice work with the savings.32b3in2013 wrote:I wanted to pay for all of us (10 people) to go out for lunch on Christmas Day this year but my nieces and nephews refused to go out as nowhere would have "nanny's" Turkey stuffing. Ah, bless them, 32b3 , they do so Christmas is for kiddies, can't argue with that! My DH makes a delicious S&O stuffing and always mixes a couple of sausages in with it......gorgeous!! :j
Just saw yours in time, Saver-upper, brilliant potting!!!Have a great Tuesday, Potters, save well during it.
