DH potted his first 50p last night. He said it felt wrong potting a coin which was smaller than £1 coins... Yes, well, carry on potting. We're not shy.... :rotfl:

Gosh so many lovely new members! Welcome to all, hope you enjoy your potting as much as I do!

Today I potted 4 (yes 4!) £2 coins from the weekend, clearly they're back in circulation again as someone else said :rotfl:
Also potted lots of shrapnel, meant to count it but forgot as usual doh.

Thanks for my star Sue, I'm sorry I'm not on the reminder threads often, I can only really post at work in my lunch hour but I will do that.

Does anyone know where to get potting tins that haven't got Disney characters on? I've looked in The Works and 99p shop and that's all they've got and I detest Disney so I'm not getting those!

I have never done anything like this at all and reading all your exciting posts, I really want to participate, rather than just read. I subscribed to the SPC-7 thread, relatively late in this year, but was totally blown anyway with all the ideas being suggested.

Potted £5 from yesterday's Xmas shopping. It's a good feeling knowing I'm saving. Not spent anything today.
Decided I'm taking £30 cash out of my account each week for petrol and day to day stuff. Whatever I have left over on a Sunday night I will pot.

Could I join in please? I've always saved £2 coins and shrapnel goes in too but it would be great to have some focus and actually add it up at the end of the year.
