            I took a £10 note to the school Christmas fair,intending to pot the change.By the time I'd bought lunch for 4 kids there,there was no change :eek:,and OH had to spend his money for the rest of the fair :rotfl:.
 So,for potting tonight,I only have roadkill.Normally,I add each month's roadkill all together at the end of the month.This month I added what I had collected by last Thursday to my SPC7 pot,so tonight I only have £1.57,all found today, to add (found 57p of that at the fair today,and £1 coin under the table where you fill out lottery tickets in the local Tesco kiosk ). ).
 Can't believe it is December tomorrow.How did that happen??SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

            Another £3 to the pot. Decided to bung it all in one and be done with it this year! I expect it to slow down from April onwards but I am going to try my hardest!
 Good luck everyone.

 Hey,jakes-mum.Why don't you put the notes in,just this once.They are a lovely surprise when notes fall out,because they don't add to the weight/volume of the pot.You forget they are there,and if you don't pot many,they are a lovely surprise.
 In June this year I was talked into joining a budget-priced gym that had just opened.I sort of got swept up in the excitement by my friends,and it was "only" £9.99/month.I figured even if I went to a zumba class a week it would pay for itself.
 So I went a couple of times a week for about a month,then in we had our family crisis,and healthy eating/keeping fit went out the window.I haven't been back since :o:o:o:o. :o:o:o:o.
 About 4-6 weeks ago I phoned to enquire about how to cancel my membership,and have only just got around to writing the cancellation letter now .Will hand-deliver it tomorrow.When they stop taking the direct debits out (after 28 days .Will hand-deliver it tomorrow.When they stop taking the direct debits out (after 28 days ),I am going to pot the £9.99 each month,probably at least for 6 months,which is how long I had the membership for :j:j. I think that sounds like a great idea saver-upper.
 Just potted my first amount into the house (my tin is shaped like a gingerbread house) - £2.37 change from my night out on Saturday. Not a bad start but hoping to be potting more than that from week to week this time around!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

 Normally I do, but because I'm currently using a terramundi and don't want to smash it on count up day I need to change then to coins as coins are so much easier to get back out with a knife SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £2470.95/£1000 (19) £0/£10000 SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £2470.95/£1000 (19) £0/£10000

            Morning everyone, I hope everyone has a lovely day and saves as well as is possible for you all. Keep potting and be proud of what you don't waste! :A
 There you go see, Observer, savings all round. Now you know what to do when you think you fancy something. Think potting! Thanks for my number Sue! I am pleased to say I had an excellent start today... Took off the sofa cushions and found £3.56!! So in my bottle it went. Going to try and fill the whole thing - 3 litres - in the next year. Oh, very well done, redlaces, you're definitely a prime candidate for being a great SPCer!!! :jMeowhouse wrote:Decided as I hadn't any change that I would pot £1 from my wallet so at least something went in the pot - another potter had that idea earlier in the thread - so as it's a fab idea thought I would nick it too ;) ;)
 That's not nicking from, Meowhouse, that's learning from and acting on it!! Think I will set a target this year - Sue UU can you add £365 for me ty xx Think I will set a target this year - Sue UU can you add £365 for me ty xx
 All done, smeeinnit! You're planning ahead well I see, it'll get you far.Saver-upper wrote: »Hey,jakes-mum.Why don't you put the notes in,just this once.They are a lovely surprise when notes fall out,because they don't add to the weight/volume of the pot.You forget they are there,and if you don't pot many,they are a lovely surprise..
 I totally agree, Saver-upper, it's stood me in great stead throughout the last couple of years. You'll be onto a winner with your potted £9.99 fees! Try brisk walking to help shift the weight, a LOT cheaper too! Well spotted with all that roadkill!!! :j
 Why not use a different and lockable pot, jakes-mum. I've got a fat wooden chicken that has a screwed bottom (ooh er!) and serves the purpose well for notes.
 A very good start made, Ruby!Have a good Monday,SPCers, save well and resist temptation!! Pot it instead!! Sue x Sue x
 NB, SPC Savers: 5th November will be the date of 2015 opening day!
