    Evening all.

Westie983 and Seaotter, welcome and good luck with your savings.
    Determined_83, welcome back.

Re roast parsnips for soup. I'm not too sure if you'd notice much difference with spiced / curried parsnip soup, but for "normal" parsnip soup, roasting them first gives a difference taste (allegedly).

I'm potting 5 x £1 coins and those WW £2 coins have got me wanting to check my £2 coins. lol

Hiya everyone and a warm welcome to the new peoples :hello:

Well - you could have knocked me down with a feather today - in fact I had to sit down.

I'm joining in on the 2015 declutter and have been trogging along quite nicely. I have a drawer in the cupboard in the sitting room which really needed sorting, I have been putting it off, and today I decided to tackle it.

I used to buy my tobacco in bulk abroad (much cheaper) and keep the current box in this drawer, amongst lots of other things, and then 'pay' myself into the box every time I started a new packet. When I stopped smoking there was one packet left in the box together with some papers and spare lighters and I just left it there. Imagine my surprise when I lifted it today and it felt heavy, with something sliding about in it. So when I looked I found ..............d-r-u-m r-o-l-l £96.24 :T :j

So I have put £6.24 in my pot and £90 in our holiday fund :j

Hope you all have a thrilling Thursday

    Hi All,

This saving malarkey is quite addictive isn't it :)

Sue, thanks for the information about adding my £2 collection to my SPC balance if I reach both balances that will be a nice wedge of coins :)

When you said I have my first star to add to my signature what do o need to do to that and what does it give me (the purpose) sorry if its a dim question but I am blonde after all :)

Just added, £6 to my pot from the coins found in my car seat console from when I have probably paid for car parking or the cheeky mac doodles, yay for surprise coins.

I have got all the £2 picture coins keep an eye out some are quite special and rare...

    Happy Wednesday all.
