  • Hi Sue, could I have a SPC-8 Number for 2015 please...... Many thanks :-)

I've got a few bits put aside already which is looking nice, but I'll leave it to November again.......... unfortunately no '88 £1's yet, but the £1 stash for the boys is looking healthy already, and at this rate they'll probably have more to spend than me in the '83 pot! lol

Unfortunately work has gotten in the way as usual and I've not had much time to get back onto here!
Decided job hunting is the answer now.....lets hope something pop's up, I'm not sure this mad house is all screwed together right! :rotfl:

Thanks again, here's to '15 for everyone!

  • 50p potted today (ish). DH is getting in on the act too and informed me that he has been potting some secretly too :j.

Sue, the girl i goes to dyes the eyebrows first then waxed after this. The dye only ever went on the hair - skin behind was never dyed. I do tend to go, lie down and relax while she gets on with it (apart from the odd grimace during the actual waxing) so just let her get on with it. Definitely look better dyed but at double the price had to knock on the head!

Thank you so much for your kind words too. Very excited at the impending arrival and will look forward to updating you all!

Hope everyone is having a good potting week :)
Trying for a super saving year :j:

  • Morning People :)

LoL Sue...I have been to Germany....the last time was Munich and I LOVED it...Such a beautiful place....But I have no plans to go back I'm afraid....

And, would I EVER bunk off and leave without you Guys? Of course not!! LoL :D

Have had a rough couple of days....Just motivation-wise I am struggling a lot....not sure what is going on really....Might be the weather or the fact that I haven't heard from the Hospital...who knows!! But I'm sure I'll get there....Just got to keep on moving forwards...

Am Potting £3.75 this morning....Well at least the Pot is getting fed....that's ALWAYS a good thing :D
  • I've just come across this - I'm currently off work recovering from surgery so have no cash at all at the moment! But when I have some I'd like to start. I put small change in a charity box so will perhaps try and pop in the 50p, £1 and £2 coins at the end of each day.

Please can I have a number?

    Thanks!

A very warm welcome, Seaotter. {your No is not the next on the list so please see message below} It's lovely to have you with us. :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving, posting and joining in the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Seaotter - please note that instead of giving you the following No on the list I've given you No 104 I'm sure that member would have returned by now, and if she does, invent a new one. ;)

VERY well done, Hoipolloi, a perfect sum! :j

what do you mean anything I save elsewhere can be added? you mean my £2 savings pot??

Yes, Westie, the contents of your £2 coin pot can indeed be included with your SPC Total too in November, now look what you have to look forward to! :D Scratch cards, and the change that come from them isn't cheating - BUT - if you win and don't share it with us all...it's cheating big time!!!! :rotfl:

Brilliant news about the £2 coins definitely being in circulation, Westie! I will be letting Modesty know as she was the one asking. I shall be on the look out too now! BTW, many thanks for the information, you've earned your very first gold star to pop on your siggy. :staradmin

Great work, Donna, keep squirreling away. ;)

That Parsnip soup was absolutely gorgeous, scotmumof3, very many thanks for yet another recipe, DH is going to try Lynsey's DH's idea of roasting the parsnips first next time to see the difference. We love them in a roast, now we'll see about soup. Thanks again. :kisses3:

Thank you for that idea, Lynsey.

I see you're keeping up the great work, Frogletina, good for you!

Ah, not just me who just had to have a look then, 32b3, quite a fascinating place...a shame it's ruined at times by what can almost be described as (imo) yobbish behaviour!

Hello there, Determined!! :hello: No need to rejoin, that's only necessary for those who fail to turn up, so after a while I give their Nos to new members. So your No remains the same 361. Good luck with the job hunting and I hope you find something you enjoy. Not quite sure of the 88 £1s and 83 pot?? Or are the 88 £1s more valuable perhaps like the 20p ones were at one time? Good luck with the mad house, sounds normal to me! Successful saving, Determined and a happy, healthy 2015 for you and the family!
Hey,has anyone seen jakes mum?She hasn't been around for aaaaages.Hope everything is ok.

Haven't seen her in a while, Saver-upper, though she's possibly either glued to the comping board or giving her DH a major headache. :rotfl: Guess who'll be next in turning up!

50p potted today (ish). DH is getting in on the act too and informed me that he has been potting some secretly too :j.

Fantastic news about your DH, chasingthedream, it's so much better when you're both working towards saving!!!! All the dying and waxing lark sounds weird to me; almost as if she dyes it then *deletes" it all!! Ahhh...or do they then grow back blonde, green, sky blue pink or whatever?? I might be getting it, d'you think?

Things are looking very good for you, Daddybear, your little darling too, bless her. :A You're doing great in bringing her up to save.

Ah you'll be ok, Helen, don't analyze it just ignore the off days and you'll get through it all much better. :D
Oh...so no Germany hols then, ah well, can't win em all. I've been to Altenkirchen in Westerwald for 3 weeks and loved it, all so beautiful from Bonn on day through. Auf wiedersehen or should we say Au revoir...maybe just toodle pip! :rotfl:

What NO CASH, Rosy???!! Flippin eck I'd better watch it or I'll be sounding like !!!!!! Turpin!

I hope everyone's well and staying clear of sickness bugs..nasty little bu**ers! For those who are poorly in any way, take care and here are {{{hugs}}} for you all. Look after yourselves, SPCers.

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, folks! :j Keep safe, healthy and keep saving hard as though you're possessed!! :rotfl:
