    Morning all.

Mrsnsl - welcome and good luck with your savings.

Sue - another star - thank you. Hope plenty maxxed up with that half-price diced beef. Half-price turkey steaks next. It all helps. ;)

Helen - you are really potting well this year and you are normally a slow starter, but great finisher. Keep it up and that Paris trip could be "free" as well as Xmas.
I've never been to Paris!! I've always expected it to be very pricey and would rather have a week in the sun for the cost of a few days in Paris. I'll have to go one day (before I meet my maker) though.

Just a single £1 coin potted and I actually found a 1p "road-kill" c/o Morries s/scan till. No good for my pot, but I took it because it was "road-kill". lol
Well done on the better "road-kill" finds.

Hope all are well. I haven't been very good at posting here but I am still potting away. I found it fantastic at Xmas to have the savings.

Aww Thanks Lynsey....I AM normally a slow starter but I was really disappointed by what I got last Year....and I am sooooooooo determined not to open my Pot until Opening Day this Year....And also, I am only Potting what I can afford to Pot....which makes a difference.... :)

Paris is WONDERFUL....You really should go....It's one of my all-time favourite Cities in the World....I'm hoping to go around Christmas this Year, not sure whether I'm just going to go for the Day by Train....so leave early in the morning and come back late at night (which is doable since I live in London)....or I could stay overnight if I can get a cheap deal...We shall see!!

I'm Potting another 60p this Afternoon...but that will definitely be it until tomorrow as I'm not venturing out again today....I'm starting to feel a bit rotten, think I'm coming down with a Cold...but we shall see....But at least I'm all warm and cozy indoors with my Heating on :)

Anyway....a bit headachy and coughy....but feeling quite Positive as well...which is good :D

    Hello everyone :waves:

DreamerHelen I'm so glad your 'op' went well and you're on the mend.
Have potted a few random coins in the last couple of days but nothing major. That's partly because I'm not spending much so I'm not too worried - like a lot of others, January is a loong month so I'm just getting through to payday on Friday and then I might be able to pot more.
I've sent a box of books to Zapper today, so I'll pot the cheque from them when I get it.
    Hugs to all

    Thanks Rosy....I appreciate that :)

Unfortunately I have now developed a fluey-cold thing....Not sure whether it is a Post-Op Infection or something....but I've managed to clear most of the next couple of days so I can hopefully recover at home....

Final spent of the week was £3 today. Potted £35.

I cannot believe how much I am potting at the moment. I am decluttering food this month though so that has helped to reduce my spending.

One month in,and the Great Bedroom Reshuffle is starting to take shape. The first 2 rooms are painted and carpetted. Our worldly posessions are throughout the rest of the house. In boxes.Still.:o

So,with access to my tins tricky,I have bundles of change all over the house:coat pockets, dressing gown pockets, piles on conters, trouser pockets.Even roadkill is all over the place (though that has been very thin on the ground this month-less than 60p )

Oh,and my car caught fire about 2 minutes after I pulled up at home after work on Thursday. As I had been driving down our (short) street, there was a bit of a "mist" coming out of the front bonnet.I guess I should have pulled over immediately, but I waited and parked outside my house,By the time I got out of the car, unlocked the house and went to phone OH to say "I think there is a problem with the car",the smoke was higher than the houses.A couple of minutes later I saw flames .The fire brigade says it looks like it might have been an electrical fault.Despite the fact the front of the car bonnet has melted onto the road, the insurance company will be coming out to assess if the car is salvagable 017.gif.
When life settles down a bit,I will pot properly and report back.
