Just remembered that I got my ISA interest in March, that's an extra £278.15 for March, woo! That takes me up to £293.55 / £6000 for the year, or 4.9%, much better0

It's raining the proverbial cats and dogs, howling like a good 'un, so what better than to tot up the spreadsheets on a Sunday afternoon?
No out-of-the-ordinary expenses this month. Declaring £4,168 for March.0 -
£1300 for me this month. Went shopping on Friday and spent £100. Ooops. Though it's all for stuff I really needed so not wasted.0

I thought I'd had a terrible March but I've still managed to save £1405, which I'm rather pleased with as it's still over target.2018 totals:

I've just realised I've calculated this wrong and my actual amount is a not so good £875.2018 totals:

Hi all,
I have just found this thread and want to know if I can join?
I know a quarter of the year has already past but I have been saving since January 1st, so I have managed to save £2850.00, so that works out at £950 a month since January, which is more then the monthly goal of £833.33 a month as I have a goal of 10k.
I may have to revise this goal periodically as I have some 0% Credit card expiring just not sure when.
Hope this would be okay...

If this is okay I can start saving and reporting my savings from April, but happy to divide my savings across the preceding three months if that helps the spreadsheet,
Currently I have 2k in High Interest Current Account, £500 in HSBC Regular Saver, £50 in Kent Reliance Regular Saver, £300 in Cash ISA.
With the new tax year opening in a few weeks I hope to maximise my ISAs now I have funded the current account to the max balance.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards. Hooray another pay day another deposit to savings account! Have filled in easy update sheet, thanks so much for this forum it is really helping me focus my savings efforts. It was £575.37 for March, total so far £1500.37
Saw a great quote recently "don't save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving" - or something to that effect, that is what I have been doing since January and it makes such a difference.£10 a day 2015 Oct £131.38/£310

Was on target for saving £820 this month, but just had a phone call from the garage (my car is in for service and MOT) and instead of the £245 that I had allocated for it, it needs some work doing. What they've told me so far has put my total down to £738 for March.
I'm sitting here moaning to myself about it, but I just have to look on the bright side, that although the car has cost me way more than it should have in the six months of owning it, at least I have the money for it and am still saving quite a bit. Good job I worked yesterday. That will cover the excess. Silver linings and all that. Even though I now feel I only worked yesterday to cover the brake pads on my car!
Will know my final figure for March on Wednesday morning and will update form. But I seem to still be on target for my £10,000.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
