Went and opened a regular saver yesterday - 4% kent reliance. I will be putting £500 a month from my salary into this each month and then transfer it into my NISA next March. My 5% account is finishing next month have got to make a decision about what I am going to do with it.
Still looking at NISAs. probably going to lock most of my savings away for 2 years but for no longer.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Unfortunately another week of just the "compulsory" £30 for me.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -
Think I'm going to struggle a bit this month. Put £250 into my regular saver, if I can get another £100 I'll be chuffed. Scraping the eBay barrel now too![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000

Reporting £600 for March, still got some pesky debts to clear, plus an unexpected weekend in Ireland last weekend for 6 nations.
Will hopefully ramp up in Q3/4 to get to goal.
Thanks SF for your efforts0 -
I have sent £250 pootling off towards the Isa today - not my final result for March quite yet though. Am hoping for a bit over and above as we are drawing close to the end of the tax year and I haven't filled the Isa to capacity yet.0

March is looking to be my best month so far; I'm looking at just over £700 before a potential bonus from work.
Just opened up a HSBC Advance account to get the Save Together benefit; which will be an extra £10 a month. Looking forward to the first payment from that.
I need to get the most out of this month as possible as my credit card is taking a hit this month; with car's MOT + road tax; OH's birthday; plus potential holiday payment I'm not sure I'm going to be able to save anything next month.# 047 'Save 12K in 2019' - £6,346.86 / £12,000 55.89%# 074 'Save 12K in 2015' - £4,379.25 / £4,000 109.48%0 -
I have a feeling March is going to be a horrible saving month for me! On Saturday morning a friend caught just the edge of our garden wall with his van and..........four feet of wall came tumbling down! Clearly this is a case of a weak wall and it must be rebuilt entirely!“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Hi, can you count me in. I really need to get more focused and this might be it. I was originally hoping to save £15,000 this year, but that might be pushing it too much, so ill try £12k. I have £4,000(ish) saved so far.0

. I don't think I'll be putting the full £15k in this coming year as I am putting most my savings into a AVC to take as cash when I retire (and will reinvest in S&S then).
I know what you mean by paralysed by choice. It is a real minefield for those of us who are novices, which I am. I have spent years being frightened of investing and have made a real effort to read everything I can about risk but only just touched the surface. Good idea on the AVC. How far away from retirement are you?
