I have made my usual £500 monthly payment into my investment portfolio but won't be topping it up at the end of the month by another £500 as we have a bill for conservatory blinds for £895 . Also I will be opening up a 2015-2016 S and S isa after 6 April and will be transferring my portfolio into that so see no point in paying in £500 to buy units at the end of March and then selling immediately at the beginning of April to transfer into the ISA wrapper. Will hopefully pay in £1500 in April to get back on target. Form submitted for March and thanks for all your work SF.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I can't open a stocks and shares isa until after 5 April as I have already saved £15k in a Coventry BS fixed term cash isa for this year. I have been investing in the Vanguard lifestrategy 60 fund (60 equities and 40 bonds/fixed term investments). Which fund did you go for?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I did the same, enthusiastic! It was a simple plumping for something people seemed to be happy with, as I was in danger of being paralysed by choice!. I don't think I'll be putting the full £15k in this coming year as I am putting most my savings into a AVC to take as cash when I retire (and will reinvest in S&S then).

Thanks for adding me SF. Can I just double check, do we update the spreadsheet via the form on page 1 at the end of each month?
Looking forward to savingso I can make a early settlement payment.

I also did this, but now I'm thinking I should have gone for the 80% one. Though, had I done that, probably would be saying that I wish I'd gone for the 60 :rotfl:
I don't count my investments in the saving goal though, I want to keep it separate as I want to keep this (almost) for life (in whatever fund is best for me in that period). I want to use the savings here as a deposit. Having said this, I have no idea if this matches with what I said in my introduction post!
Trixxi, I think you can update whenever you want, but with the update form.0 -

Very nice!
I went for medium risk. I could go for higher because I'm young and will have longer to wait for it to perform but could switch to something more suiting when I have learned more about S&S isas.Goal is to Retire before I'm 40 (currently 30yo)0 -
