In total £1400 this month, though only £300 net after making up the savings on my spreadsheet that I'd dipped into. I've had a dental implant, new carpets and decorating over the summer which was funded from this year's savings.
I probably won't make this year's (revised) target because of the fall in my S&S ISA, so next year I will really push to make it up and get £20k over the two years.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Penultimate update for the year. I'm declaring £950 saved this month bringing my total to £6700 which smashes my £6000 target for the year. :j:j:j:j
I'm not going to change my target but will see how much I can add in the last month of the challenge.Homeowner:j0 -
Signing in for November and I'm declaring £520.03 (nice round number as usual :rotfl:).
I've been saying for the last few months that I don't think I'll quite make the £6k target. But when I got home last night, I had got a letter from the Co-op about an old loan - some issue with the CCA - and they enclosed a cheque for £898!! I couldn't believe it! Totally out of the blue
I'm not going to add it to the total yet because
1. I want to see how close I can get to the £6k just by saving
2. Totally unexpected money so I fancy treating myself with some of it!!
Looking back on this challenge, I've realised that when I make small payments every few days to round up balances etc I get close to or over the £500 a month target. I have a £250 regular payment to a savings account so the other £250 comes from small payments, saving on bits and bobs, trying to reduce weekly shopping bill etc.
I've also noticed that the YNAB app has completely transformed the way I spend/save - without it I would be nowhere near the £6k!
So pleased I joined this challenge. Thank you everyone[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Hi everyone,
We've made such great progress, I'm really looking forward to seeing our final totals. I managed £800 in November, which I'm really pleased with because it has been such an expensive month. I've bought all my Christmas presents too so hopefully December will be a bit better.Mortgage overpayments 2018: £4602, 2019: £7870

Joined, thanks slowlyfading.
I'll post my November total when it's finalised on the 30th, and as long as I don't go overboard in December I should make my target by the end of the year (it really will be the end of the year since payday is December 31st... only then will I know...)0
