That doesn't make sense. Do you mean because you paid your full allowance into the S&S ISA, you can't pay more into any ISA until April?

Anyway, unless you've already filled all the higher interest current accounts, your money is better in them than in a cash ISA.

  • Apologies for not keeping up to date the past couple months! I've had the luxury of taking a long holiday and now back to busy work.

Updated form, total savings for the year £7000.

Looks like I'm going to miss my target this year by £700 :(

Can't fault it though It's my first year of saving and I have enjoyed the money whilst I can.

  • I have just submitted my update form for November at £1000 exactly. That is £250 to my TSB monthly saver account, £500 to my Nationwide regular saver cash isa and £250 to my Fidelity Funds network stocks and shares isa.

I am still £250 down on my target for the year so far due to me giving large cash gifts to our two daughters and replacing my car 6 months earlier than planned. Most of the money for this came from previous year's reserves though and I hope to more than make up for it in December when my husband gets his annual bonus and my mum makes her usual Christmas gift to us of £1k. Normally we spend this but this year I am using it towards the car which has already been spent so am still hoping to make the £12k target for the year.

Next year I am aiming for £15k to help restore my overall savings balance.

My direct debits for my regular savers are due out tomorrow so thought I would declare my total for November....

Got some interest from one of my regular savers which I have kept back as I like round numbers so am declaring.

    £1014.00

It's pay day tomorrow so have declared £1,365.89 for November. Savings this month boosted by cashback, interest on a regular saver and some eBay sales.

Have a bonus due in this months salary which after tax will cover my holiday spending money (going away for New Year). Wife and I have agreed on a £100 Christmas present budget, have a couple of things still to get but means we get a few things to open without wasting money or accumulating unwanted stuff! Looking forward to getting into the festive spirit now :)
  • Hi all,

Been missing in action for a while! Changed jobs and got divorced, so lots of money flowing the other way. All done and am now soo keen to do some renovations which I have put off doing until the transfer of equity had been done. Have that hideous Artex on the ceilings and awful coving. Passage and bathroom ceilings done and they look fantastic.

Am so close to my target .....
