  • Hi Everyone!

I would like to join this challenge for 2015 please! I have watched this challenge over the past few years and been absolutely amazed with the amount many of you have managed to save! It never seems to be right time for me to commit to most things so I'm taking the plunge. I have a very busy year next year with numerous weddings to attend and a girls holiday so I will try my best!

My target for 2015 will be 5k. Very optimistic target for me. This will be for the household emergency fund which is one of the most important things needed when starting to save. Wish me luck! :T:T

Does anyone else get their January wage (i.e. the one they'll use to pay the bills in January) before the end of December? Feeling a bit like I'll be starting at '2' on a count to '3' with my savings contributions :o

Thought this was more honest than just not updating for 10 days and then miraculously adding £££ on 01/01/2015 :rotfl:
  • Getting paid early in December is always a hard one for me. I really have to make sure I set aside money for bills, food etc in Jan rather than spend it early. It's too tempting.

I am planning to finalise my 2014 savings using my December wage.

I'm a long time lurker and would love to join! After buying a flat I need to build up my savings and will likely need some motivation. I'm aiming for £8k.
  • I'm giving balance last day of every month, easier than 1st because all my standing orders come out an I would have to double check all the time.

Yes, I do but I count it in December (since I get it in December) so my first declaration for 2015 will be at the end of January. My last declaration for 2014 will be at the end of this month. :)

May I also join this challenge please?

I'd like to pay off an additional mortgage debt we are about to undertake to buy my friend out of our house as she has moved out (complex, but all lovely, no issues) and I want to pay this off ASAP so I can be free of it. Aiming for £7K.
