The "Save 12k in 2015' Thread!

Can I join in please? I want to go for 12k again please!
I think I've joined the last 3 or 4 years now and the money its helped me save is incredible! I think I would have saved money anyway, but these threads have really helped me concentrate and focus, which has helped me no end! And as the good old saying says... watch the pennies and the pounds look after themselves!!
I am hoping to go for the full 12K next year, this year I have fallen short of my target, but a few costly things cropped up which involved spending money rather than saving it!
Hoping to be "Full steam ahead" in 2015!!
A massive thanks to slowlyfading too for organising and running the thread and the previous ones too!!! Your hardwork and dedication is infectious!
Good luck to everyone in the new year!! x0 -
Count me in again, will aim for £5k again in Savings, as I didn't make it this year.0

Can I play please? I'll go all in and say £12,000 too. Although that is a massive challenge as it leaves me with only a few hundred each month to live off. But you've gotta aim high haven't ya!Save £12,000 in 2015 – 03/03/15 - £3000
Goal – Save a deposit for my first house :j0 -
I am following the 2014 thread and think it's time I took the plunge. I'm in! Please put me down for £6000 to begin with. I'm going to try really hard to smash this though and head for the £12k mark

Hi everyone,
Please can I join in. Have never done a savings challenge before, and have decided that 2016 is the year that I am going to do abit of travelling, then move to a different part of the country.
So please can you put me down for £6000 (hopefully it will be more!!)
Thank you

Do the savings have to stay savings? Or are the majority of people that come on these threads saving for something? For example, I need to save next year to pay off remainder of our debt, and then for a new car and central heating system - but it might be that next year is also the year that I need to get replace them / use the savings! So just wondering how I'd be able to contribute to this thread as think it would be motivating. Thanks!
