GP will send you for blood tests - there is an inconclusive marker in your blood if you are, but perimenopause means it rises and falls so therefore not completely conclusive if it says no.

menopause is actually after you have had no menses for 12 months.  The rest of it leading up to it is peri menopause.

Currently ( forgive the pun) charging batteries. Sorted out emergency lighting,and put it in place,just in case we get brown/ blackouts.

having my smart meter fitted today, so had a bit of a practice run. I have a solar light that is kept in the sunniest window to be charged up. I always use a flask for hot water from the kettle. and the phone charger bank is always kept powered up. 
Also trying out a homemade version of a haybox with some soup in.. I know my power will only be off for 2 hours but it's good to check how things are working.

All this talk of quilts i went up and put my extra one on and my wool thick undersheet. Cosy tonight!

I think he meant more, that's an electric light, how will it help if there are outages? Unless you're turning it into a candle holder...

I know there's a black lead behind, but I assumed it was a candle holder. The inside bit doesn't appear to be for a light bulb.

I have one similar on the bathroom window sill.

Could be proven wrong though.
