Luckily nothing wrecked just stuff all over. He said he needed taxi fair to get home which was exactly the same story from a man we had last year but during the day that time. He was obviously drunk. Its made me rethink getting g a detatched bungalow.
I managed to get the stray cat in anyway so thats him off to vets in morning.9 -
When we lived in static caravan in winter we would put an extra duvet under the bottom sheet. Lovely and snuggly.
I still swear by slipper boots so my ankles are kept warm.

The 'not my cat' is presently asleep on my newly changed spare bed snuggled into the fleece I put on top if it!!! I have also looked the sleeping bags out and the thinner one I have bought downstairs to air it out (they were both washed before putting them away) and the thicker one will be for when the cold really hits! I've been tidying the garden this weekend and it looks so much better but empty! Need to quickly get some bulbs planted in one border as I dug everything out to start again, and it will really empty in the spring.
I'm lucky that a small one man band nursery offers really good prices and quality on his wares, so I'll be calling in there on Thursday to support him.

The 'not my cat' story made me smile. Sounds as if it,s made itself yours now whether you like it or not.!
We,ve all been there. Years ago a friendly stray adopted me and I gave him a name. Transpired later a neighbour 100 yards away had also 'adopted' him, given him a different name and we were both takin the little tinker to the vets when he was ill and getting on the nights he didn,t come home. Only discovered this when I sadly had to have him put to sleep and neighbour came knocking on all our doors with a photo saying he had gone missing. He was a real rascal but had obviously wormed his way into bot our hearts..

Billy the 'not my cat' actually lives across the road, but they are both out at work all day. His original owners moved from from a few doors away but he kept turning up at his old house, it happened quite a few times, so the people who took him in got in touch with his real owners and took over the care of him. Trouble is he sleeps outside (by choice) and I'm in most days! The neighbours know he comes here and I have looked after him whilst they have been away. He goes about 6pm when they come in but I do feel a bit responsible for him. He's getting to be an old man now, 15 years old.
He's a bit of company as well, but I'm not fond of the 'gifts' he keeps leaving!!

The weather must be turning, all 3 of our cats came in this afternoon and curled up, we've barely seen them since April, they turn up for food but mainly live outdoors during spring and summer (the joys of a very big garden, woods behind us and no other cats in the area). We have a cat flap so they are free to come and go as the desire but inside is only for cold and miserable days it seems.
Have spent the afternoon trying to crochet a hat, I'm following a pattern which is overly complicated for what it is so have been making notes as I rework areas and will write up my own pattern. Going to make myself a matching cowl scarf too.We had a long drive (for us) this morning and after spending so much time sitting in the car we both have sore knees, I'm feeling a bit on the "hibernating" side as I spent a good few hours talking to people and I'm now feeling the need to shut out the world for the evening. I'm still finding being with people quite overwhelming, I loved lockdown, my introverted side just loved the peace and quiet and the slower pace of life. I've lit the log burner, I'm making a comfort food meal and going to sit in front of the fire with my crochet and relax. I might feel more human in the morning.14
