Benefits shouldn't be there to enable anyone to live a cushy comfortable life. People need to understand that if want higher hand outs they need to work for it. If they choose they don't want to and would rather stick to their cushy job then they need to learn to live off those wages.[/QUOTE]
Highlighted for you. You think working on a low wage means you have a cushy job. I donlt think that is the case necessarily.
I would like to add that Universal Credit includes Housing Benefit. JSA doesn;t. Therefore whether you need to claim Universal Credit depends upon how much rent you have to pay, in many cases (even if in full-time work). Under jSA, you would apply to your local council for Housing benefit instead. You would just not be claiming JSA (butr claiming other benefits - Working Tax Credit, Housing Benefit) instead.
I do actually agree with Universal Credit in principle . It makes sense to apply to one organisation - rather than the Jobcentre, your local council and the HMRC undeer the old system. But it is being implemented very poorly.
You may choose to respond to this post. But I think it is quite likely you won't. I suspect that you have posted inflammatory benefits-bashing posts, knowing full well that you are taking only a small part of the full picture into account.0 -

Or just keep reading it any way you like. Either way I don't really give a hoot what you think. I stand 100% behind what I said (not what you think I said)!0 -
Now go back and read the post that I quoted and you'll see why I used that terminology.

Yu insinuated that everyone on low pay is in a cushy job, I would say that is pretty clear.0 -

And I think you'd make a great politician. You seem very adept at putting spin on what someone else has said in order to get your version across. Well done! Which party will you be running for? Labour I guess.0 -

You can keep bleating on as long as you like, it doesn't change anything.0 -

Certainly not the Tories when it comes to their benfits policies.0
