I suppose the baby Jesus sausages are wrapped up in a little bacon blankie :D

We've just been out to the theatre (with mum and MIL) and we went for a drink after to work out who is doing what, without the men folk sticking their oar in ;)

I'm in charge of gammon and stuffing, plus making sure there is something for Xmas eve supper.
MIL is getting a turkey crown and pudding.
Mum is doing spuds and veg, cheese and crackers.

I am hosting so will also make sure we have incidentals such as cream, custard, cranberry, breakfast items and of course some of my kiddies favourites for tea after they have been subjected to a family dinner away from their new toys ;) poor deprived little mites... Lol

Pigs in blankets is an Americanism. They used to be called sausages wrapped in bacon. :)
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

  • We never had them together, always streaky bacon rolled up and sausage meat made into balls and rolled in a bit of seasoned flour before baking. I've only started buying ready made 'pigs in blankets' for DS2 as he requested them. He will still eat the separate bacon and sausage meat as well though.

  • Christmas Eve breakfast.. We go out to a pub for a full English and a meet up with family
Tea.. Hot roast pork and stuffing sandwiches
Christmas Day breakfast.. Hubby and I don't bother. Kids have croissants and pancakes plus chocolate for stockings
Dinner.. Always go to parents, prawn starter, turkey and all the trimmings and then Xmas pud although everyone's normally too full
Tea.. Kids have a mini buffet to nibble on
Boxing Day dinner is cold ham, chips and pickles

    Everyone's choices sound yum

I've bought some of the chilled bake them yourself pastries - pan au chocolate and cinnamon swirls - yummy! American style pancakes with syrup and crispy bacon? Waffles with fruit? Bagels with cream cheese and salmon?

Still haven't decided on what stuffing to go with

Has anyone ever tried Gordon Ramsay's Pork, Apricot and Pistachio Stuffing before
