Oh boohoo you'll have no rest or no life but your child will! Do you think I want to work the hours i do? No but if i want to afford to live and feed my animals ect then i have no choice!
Is that not the whole point of being a parent that you sacfice everything for them?
You have asked for help but so far all have seen is you having an excuse for every solution that someone has given you

If you could get a part time job and work just 8 hours a week at the minimum wage that would be another £50+ a week. Might not seem like a lot but it all adds up and I'm sure the mother of your child would appreciate the contribution.
The fact is if you want a better life for you and you child then you've got to work hard, so what if you're knackered? Wont it be worth it in the long run?0 -

I get £410 a month. Its broken down like this
£200 a month rent - the owner of the annex i rent has been so kind to me and cut the rent from £65 a week to £50 a week to help me.
£80 a month on food - i do one big shop and plan it all out so i have a dinner 5 times a week. I blag the other 2 days a week at my mums house for free lol.
£30 a month on my phone bill.
£46.50 a month on a travel ticket so i can get to college and work.
£40 a month on lunch i allow £2 a day. I have tried buying packed lunch stuff but it all went off before the month was out.
£11 a month on laundry costs. I try to limit this as much as possible and that is the cheapest i can do it without having to wear stinky clothes.
That leaves me with the sum of £2.50 which i'll treat myself to a few cans of that 39p energy drink and a couple of bars of chocolate or crisps depending on my mood.
then dont by a months worth in advance, spread out your purchases0 -
- I assume the £11 a month on laundry costs is because you don't have a washing machine?
- You can't justify buying lunch at work every day on your income. I am on a higher wage and rarely buy lunch at work. This is an extremely easy way to cut costs. Buy bread and sandwich fillers. It won't all go off if you buy it every week - you don't need to freeze ham and cheese, it won't go off if you seal it! You can buy an 800g bread loaf in Tesco for 45p.
- Phone costs other people have already brought up.
- Plenty of people work weekend/evening jobs as well as working full time in the week - it's manageable. Even just a Saturday or Sunday - working 8 hours in a shop/wherever on minimum wage would give you an extra £40 a week.
- Most apprentices live with their parents - is this an option for you as you seem to spend a lot of time there already anyway?
- If not, 7 miles isn't too far to cycle. Ask for a cheap bike for Christmas.

It might be the cheapest they'll do a Samsung Galaxy but you neither need nor needed a Samsung Galaxy. Do you get the point?
Cex would give you £130 for it so looks like you are stuck for now unless you can find someone to take it off you.
As you will have noticed, most of the early responses picked up on this as a massive and unnecessary expenditure so a good lesson for the future.
If food is going off try freezing as above and stop this monthly shop thing.
Eat either day to day on knock off stuff, just call in on your way home and shop on a weekly basis to try and use things within date.
Beans on toast costs less than a quid for example. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

Do internet cafe's even exist now? Your local library will let you use computers for free and its easier than trying to do a course on a tiny phone screen...
Evening/weekend bar or shop job, ive seen restaurants and shops advertising being near chrsitmas...
Move back to your parents?...0 -
