I have holiday clothes and everyday clothes. Doesn't everyone?

    No.

I read a blog about minimal packing somewhere, and the writer suggested that when you find clothes that are perfect for travelling, keep them for travelling. That way they will last years.

Shameless plug for Rohan; 2 vests/tees, a pair of convertible trousers, 2 casual shirts and 2 smarter ones, 1 fleece or zipped jumper, 1 breathable waterproof, usual smalls, should be good for 2 weeks. Most of it dries in under 6 hours. Their stuff is pretty indestructible so can be worn lots and lots, not 'saved for holiday'. I thought that went out along with 'saved for best' about 25 years ago.
Straying off topic but I once did a week's business trip to the USA on hand luggage only.

Just smiling to myself at the silly things we grown-ups find to argue about. Must be a slow news day :rotfl:.

Friends of ours are going on a cruise starting in Australia. Because of health problems they are having the luggage taken out ahead of them so they don't have to cart it about or worry about it. The luggage goes in December, the cruise starts in February.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

if my luggage was leaving here in December and had to meet up with me at a cruise ship in Australia in February, I would worry - lots!
