Packing suitcase 5 days before going, will rolled clothes get creased?

I know it will all get creased a bit but will it make much of a difference if I pack the suitcase today if we aren't leaving til Thursday? Or would you wait til he day before. I think I am going to roll the clothes up it's meant to save more room?

Thanks

I'm the opposite. I don't pack until I'm about to leave for the airport. I make a list, put everything on the bed in the spare room over a couple of days and then pack after I've showered and washed my hair. Everything gets packed around my washbag and hairdryer.

Any creases will soon come out when you wear things OP but why do you want to do it today?

answered on the other thread, except for the 5 day bit which you didn't mention (and sounds ridiculous).
The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....

Why is packing 5 days before ridiculous?

I am usually mostly packed 2 weeks before (it would be longer if my husband would let me get the cases out of the loft earlier). I get why some people wouldn't want to pack that soon, but not I would see why 5 days is ridiculous.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Well it's not "ridiculous" but it seems pretty bizarre. Unless you're incredibly fussy and need 5 days to keep changing your mind on whether you want that top or those shoes, what's the point in packing any sooner than the night before?

I have favourite 'going away' clothes (lightweight, comfy but tidy enough to go anywhere), which I keep permanently packed :o . When we get back from a trip they are washed and ironed and put back in my usual travel case or bag. Mostly rolled, with the smaller items stuffed in the corners.

When we went to Scotland in September my case had been packed for six weeks! Can't bear last minute packing as I get in a flap about what to take :rotfl:.

Edited to add... Hang clothes up when you get to your destination and most of the creases, if there are any, will drop out overnight.
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

well, different circumstances may yield different answers, but I do it so I know it's done and one less thing to worry about in the run up to departure...and those things that cannot go in earlier get popped in as and when they can...so no last minute OMG I need to wash XXX, and where's YYY?? To be fair, the vast majority of clothes I take on holiday are things I rarely wear here due to the weather. But I rarely unpack and re-pack. I may swap out one or two things but the bulk of it is done long before and I can forget about it.
