    nsd #1 today

Popped into Lidl to get milk, realised I had left my bag at home, so milk with the £1 I had in my pocket and stock cubes from the £1 I found in the car park and that was my lot. Really brought it home to me how some people struggle with the cost of food shopping.

Been wrapping speasonal gifts tonight, actually reminded me that I hate wrapping, I like it perfect and mine never is (by my standards) which frustrates me. Also gives me back ache sitting on the floor like that for so long. Still Mog had a whale of a time 'helping' :rotfl:

  • I am back at work tomorrow after a period of sick leave following a minor ok, it has been lovely having time off but need to get back to the grindstone ( 12 hour shifts ) so I will probably land at the island airport on Wednesday to see if everybody has been good and avoided using the word "Christmas". marmite will have Shawn the Shark on standby to deal with any offenders, and prizes will be awarded to those who use the most creative alternative word or phrase. Save us a glass or six of rum punch!

I hope that the return to work has gone smoothly.

This month is going to be tough for me. Not the Christmas thing, as a family we have never gone in for the big spend thing, but I have some big home repairs that need to done. Some now and some in the NewYear. Its going to be tight.

Could you put me down for15 please.

Hey there peedie and welcome to the best challenge in this forum! :hello: :D

Now,since we're having a super tropical holiday, what's your poison?Pina colada, mai tai, nice cold beer, ginger beer, turnip vodka and lime?Take your pick......Yes Igor that usually means that you give a person more than one choice...not everyone is fond of vodka!

Well, now that I've recovered from the intensity of the dancing competition, Agent Mankini clocking on for December.

Agent Mankini....I like it.The name might stick! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I don't know what is going on.I turn my back for 5 minutes and there's suddenly over two pages to catch up on....It's not my fault I only got here now.BigMummaF offered me to ride pillion on her lawnmower to reach this wondrous destination.Little did we realise that flying lawnmowers are a bit slow in comparision to a jet plane.Plus we got stopped at customs. The customs people arrested us for possession of some wacky baccy. It took 10 hours to convince them that our stash was actually real grass (we didn't have time to empty out the lawnmower first).

Could someone be a dear and get BigMumma a large rum and coke, and I'll just have some fizzy water. She's got a wee headache,so Igor,a fan and a wrung out wet flannel please...no,that is not a sandwich combo!

You will be pleased to hear that I've now got all your names written down, plus any nsds bagged already.Updating the front page will probably be tomorrow.

I've just seen Hubert sashay by in a hot pink tankini. He's off to have a 'hoofie'cure before heading out to catch some rays.Ah,and there in the distance is Agent Mankini, who has chosen a fetching shade of puce to strut about in.Very becoming...

I can't even remember what I did yesterday, but I'm pretty sure it was an nsd.

I'll shut up soon....remember folks, this month is all about having fun, splashing about in the waves, having lots of nice food and drink, watching some beautiful sunsets and catching up on a good book. And if we happen to get a few nsds along the way, then that's a fab bonus. :D

    Happy hunting!
  • Agent Mankini calling in with NSD 1 for December. Not counting my football last night as I've decided to budget £15 per week for my one or two games of footie a week.

I remembered my lunch today (stand down Igor) too so should be an NSD today too. :j

A tropical paradise. White hot sand, gently waving palm trees, an ultramarine sea. The stillness of the horizon is shattered by the appearance of fast-moving figures heading for the shore. As they approach one can see a small, slightly twisted figure on a motorised surfboard. He carries an old briefcase containing his prized collection of sharp and shiny chefs knives, and a rucksack containing his recipe books, including the latest edition of Mrs Beeton and The Two Fat Hairy Naked Biker Ladies do Sushi. He also wears a harness to pull along another surfboard, upon which stands proudly an aristocratic female wearing swimsuit, huge sunglasses and a purple chiffon sarong which co-ordinates with her purple wellies.

The figure in front is not happy.

Igor, stop moaning! I specifically chose you to come out and collect me from the main island instead of Hubert because I couldn't face this journey staring at his hairy backside covered in pink sequins.

We're here now, so find me a deckchair and peel me a guava - the Nargle has landed!

Helloooooooo gang, lovely to see you all, mwah mwah!

A gentle reminder to all - when discussing the festival that happens later this month, the C word is not to be used. And certainly not the X word ( being a contraction of the C word). Dreadful punishments await those who transgress - one or two have already slipped - you know who you are, Shawn the Shark is watching! Lovely prizes will be awarded by our esteemed leader marmite for ingenious alternative words or phrases.

Right, Igor, Chuck this NSD number 1 into the Cauldron of Doom.

Whaddya mean you left it at home? Well go and ask those nice chaps over there if we can use their cauldron. Yes, the ones with the grass skirts and the bones through their noses.
