Should I send my Muslim colleague a Christmas card?

I work in a small office with 6 others, one of my colleagues is a Muslim - should I give him a Christmas card? I don't want to exclude him but also don't want to offend - he is coming to the Christmas meal. I have some generic non-religious ones and I'm thinking of giving one of those with a comment saying 'have a happy winter break' or holidays but really don't want to be rude.
So would you:
a) Give him a Christmas card with a non-religious comment/picture
b) give him a Christmas card, he will appreciate the thought
c) Don't give him one under any circumstances
d) something else?

Can't you ask him where he stands with Christmas cards? I used to have muslim neighbours and they always sent me a card!0

Definitely give one, just pick one that's not a nativity scene etc. A nice cheery robin in snow's good0

I use cards with "Season's Greetings" on them for Muslim, Jewish and other non-Christian friends.0

I don't see what difference it makes either way. If you want to send them a card, send the same as you would send anyone else. If they are the sort of people that would be offended by you sending a greeting card then they are probably not people you'd want as friends anyway.
We are lifelong atheists yet still get cards with nativity scenes on or whatever. So what - they all end up in the recycling bin in January. It's only a card.:dance:We're gonna be alright, dancin' on a Saturday night:dance:0 -
I would give him a card, after all, as he is coming to the Christmas meal, and presumably will be enjoying the Christmas break from work, it seems appropriate.
Many people these days don't give religious themed cards anyway.
I very much doubt that he would be offended to receive good wishes from a colleague.
What will your other colleagues be doing, perhaps mention it if you get the chance?Making time for me now. Out with old habits and ideas, and open to change......:j0 -
I'd do A, give a card with a wintery scene/robin/ etc.
I used to work with a lot of south east asian people, including muslims/sikhs/ and I was surprised that some of them did put up a tree and eat turkey, give presents etc. Some of them do celebrate xmas often for the children but they dont really let on about it.0 -
As a rule I don't send Christmas cards to work colleagues and if I'm honest I don't send many Christmas cards generally.0

Why not scrap the cards altogether (you see each other every day - do they need a card, really?) and make a charitable donation for what you would have spent instead?Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0
