While it does all sound a bit Jeremy Kyle, sadly I fear it's all probably true. It's not unheard of for someone to get banged up by an unsuitable bloke they hardly know.I don't want this man near my child end of and even prepared to move if needs be
That may end up being your best option. We had a similar situation with my begetter (!) being a violent threatening pain-in-the-neck, and my mum and I had to effectively go into hiding for a while, on the advise of a solicitor. This was of course many years ago now!
Can you afford to see a solicitor? That would be your best option st this stage.0 -

She doesn't get to choose that though0 -
You need legal advice asap.
At the moment no one has any rights as regards your child except you as the father has not got parental responsibility until he applies to court for this.
Close your social media accounts immediately. You do not want anyone knowing your business and passing it on.0 -

So in the OP he threatened you and then later (once it was established the courts would help him) he suddenly paid men to beat the baby out of you?

Blimey some rather nasty judgemental comments on this thread. Op if you have genuine concerns do as someone else has already suggested by speaking to the midwife who will be able to help you get in touch with the relevant help, if you have no family members who can offer help and support there may also be a secure mother and baby unit for you to enter for the period of time needed for you to get all issues resolved. Courts can order the release of details but they don't just randomly give them to an applicant just because an ex has their child. If a complaint of abuse and threats have been made these will need to be looked into fully before any desicion is made. If you are genuinely worried make sure you get the correct advice it's very important. I have also heard of cases where new mums have been put into the mother and baby unit while still pregnant and those that have had premature while baby is still in hospital. Good luck0

. Why do you believe this is a Wind up.....do these situations not occur? I myself don't find anything the Op has posted to be anything obscure or out of the realm of possibility. Some posters jumble their words and post events in the wrong order or just post things worded wrongly through nerves or just the desperation of getting some help and advice. This is a sensitive issue for several reasons and should be treated as such....if you can't find a tiny fraction of empathy inside you maybe it's best for you to maybe a different thread to amuse yourself with.Homeownertobe wrote: »So in the OP he threatened you and then later (once it was established the courts would help him) he suddenly paid men to beat the baby out of you?

Yes the court order, if it goes ahead and is not a threat will find out your details and contact you. I doubt they would even need the NHS number, it's pretty easy to find someone now, especially with social media, and the the amount if 'friends' people acquire.
However if you have genuine concerns about violence or other threatening behaviour you will be given a right to have your say, and any evidence you gave will be considered. In all likelihood contact would be established at first through a contact centre, but there us nothing to say this will always be the case. If he is deemed fit for contact outside of the centre, and requests a court order for visitation, he would generally be given up to 2 days a week, although this varies widely from case to case.
I'm afraid that unless social services have a problem with this man, and the safety of the child, there is nothing much you can do about stopping contact.0
