Ts Direct seem to be having major problems with orders at the moment. I've seen no end of complaints on their FB page about it. The laptop I ordered at the start of the week was supposed to be delivered in 2 days. I had a text on Wednesday to say it would be delayed until today. I've just had another very apologetic text telling me it's been 'slightly delayed' again. Rather worryingly it's not giving me a date when I can expect it:eek: it just says I'll receive an email to advise when it's been dispatched.
Im glad I ordered early. From reading their FB page it doesn't look like phonecalls to CS and foot stamping is getting anyone anywhere so Im not even going to stress myself out going down that route......yet

    It's been constant

And the number of people who (claim to) have had their TVs delivered in pieces by drivers who were (allegedly) fully aware of the breakage before leaving the depot is shocking

I love reading the wall. No matter how bad life gets you can have a look at the Ts wall and be thankful that you're not the person who bought a bag of oranges only for one of them to go bad before the best before date. End of the world stuff!!

Goes off to check my tv as it did have a big slash in the box and I couldn't see any padding in there  also the lady delivery driver carried the 50" tv upside down.

Well I can't fault them for keeping me informed I suppose. I've read a lot of people turning up to collect orders and them not being there. I really do think it's down all the cyber Monday stuff and people ( like me :o) taking advantage of voucher codes and deals. I just wish companies would think ahead about how they're going to cope with demand when they have these events. I do feel sorry for the staff at the stores who have to bear the brunt of people's frustration.
No point in getting my knickers in a twist about it. Won't make it arrive any sooner.

Don't just do an external inspection, actually turn it on

  • Is today over yet please? My day started at 8am with intensive dental treatment .... 16 injections and 90 minutes in the chair.
I picked up a real Xmas tree on my way home which we have in a bracket on the front of the house. Spent an hour putting the lights on it having to zip tie them on so when it's at an angle they don't fall off. Kind builder working next door climbed the ladder for me to put it into the bracket after I'd almost toppled off it 3 times. I then attempt to throw the plug through the open ensuite window to get to the plug socket in the bedroom. Failed miserably and the plug hit the arched glass in the upvc front door and smashed it. Then I finally get the plug where I need it to find the top pin has broken off and the lights no longer work.
I'm dribbling blood out the corners of my mouth like a vampire! Think I will just write off today as a bad one and go to bed :(
    Hope everyone's well. x

Agreed :D :rotfl::rotfl: Ts and my local selling pages are a great source of amusement to me.

Local selling page yesterday.....a plea from someone who was looking for a free PC monitor so they could keep in touch by Skype with their estranged child.
One hour later....a plea from the same person looking for a free PC tower so they could keep in touch by Skype with their estranged child :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I honestly don't know if they were blagging it or if they genuinely thought that a PC monitor was all that was required? But it did make me :rotfl:
