I do wonder how many failed shops go unreported, or how many get cleaned up to remove mistakes :)

I put an order in for early collection [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] today, shall report back epic failure or not.

I had to pay full price for champagne earlier  £16 for two bottles! (that victory went to T, the free cheese didn't quite make it a success for me)

    Good night all
Still a darn good price though :)

You know, I was thinking of posting something along those lines earlier! Yes - I haven't had a failed shop for a while, but at least with me, I'm honest:o:o (that may be the problem sometimes:o:rotfl:). Coming up, I have a womble which - actually I am going to "clean it up" (sadly not clean up:( as it didn't give the opportunity for much back) to remove a local item that might otherwise identify where I'm based.

So, here it is... the receipt was so wet that it was impossible to pull it apart without risking tearing it completely to shreds. So...I waited!

    And...

It was hardly worth the bother:(. Despite having some £11 Surf, A was still the cheapest:(:(. I'll let you have a look (at the slightly censored version - oh er...). (I've also, possibly, randomly changed the location of the local item in the comparison, just to confuse you!:rotfl: Just in case you think buying the two surrounding items and then entering the receipt might reveal what it is!)

    Why £0.77?

    Vs Morries:

1 x Elastoplast Assorted Water Resistant Strips (40)£2.24£1.94
    1 x McVitie's Jaffa Cakes (24 per pack - 300g)£1.00£1.00 Too expensive

    Expensive filler cheese:rotfl::

1 x Cathedral City Big Bag Mature Grated Cheese (320g)£4.47N/A

"Big" bag? I might have thought 400g or even 550g, but no! Rather small bag to me, therefore. I think we may have that "words mean the complete opposite of what they say" syndrome again:rotfl::rotfl:. I trust advertising, including that contained in product names, honest!:D (Even if not regulated as such by the advertising authority.)

    1 x Fox's Vinnie Biscuit Selection (370g)£3.00£5.00:eek:
I suppose someone could buy 3 tins of Fox's Vinnies in Morries and hope for £6 in Match points. I've no idea why though and, of course, I've no idea what price they are in Morries at the moment (just going by what the APG says there), as, whatever it is, didn't meet any price standard of mine.

I've concluded all biscuit tins, including McVities and others, work out far more expensive than a simple packet of biscuits. Some of the even "offer" prices:eek: on the tins are working out at 50-odd pence for 100g - so, well over £1 for just 200g! You'd be better getting a packet of 200g biscuits, when on offer, at 50p. Or even 400g S/P etc. biscuits for cheaper! I know I'm convincing nobody but, to me, they are exactly the same type of product inside and I see no reason or need to buy biscuits simply because they are in a tin. Besides, if I get really really desperate (and I won't:D), I can empty some biscuits out of a packet and put them in that green McVities Biscuit Selection tin that I've just finished that acted as a trigger to the Milk Trays last year (and even they were quite dear, even after that, compared to the year before). It's exactly the same!

They (the rest of my household) can make do with biscuits in packets. I'm having no truck with tins:money:.

I'm just bemused at the moment about one of the Herbal Essences returning at £3.79 (vs £1.89 T) on that comp. Is it on 2 for £4 with the Sure Women's Deo.?

As for Morries (sorry Northern Ireland), almost all of the items that are not on 'everyday pricing' and not silly little things like 10p Haribos etc. will be on offers due to expire on 30/11. So much of the (non-"everyday" parts of the) list will now be on "last chance (for now) vs M" mode. Oh well, we have much of the stuff we now need (including too many handwashes:o - remind me next time there is a handwash glitch on that I am not to take part and remind me of my failed shop from yesterday), so I can relax from the shopping (certainly from the list as it now is) and buy the M half prices (insofar as we use them) in A next week! Barring any really big glitch. Please can we have more regular glitches on dishwasher tablets and fewer glitches on handwash, thanks. I'm not saying we shouldn't have handwash glitches, but just a little fewer of them. Meanwhile, Monday is going to be a very big M changeover! I'm prepared for it, and ready to hit the stores on Monday to commence the battle:D. (I'm sure you'll all bear with me once I get back as it is going to be some updating!) Rhetorically - do we wonder if the Mr A PG might mess some of it up in our favour?

    For now, goodnight!:)

On my list (here we go again, with an obsessive threading:rotfl:), I should have just trusted my instinct and gone with my list and not with anything (such as the Clementines) that I hadn't actually put onto the list!

I had the Maltesers at £1 on my list on Monday afternoon (to wait for the Monday update). I think they were on that price for such a brief period that m.com didn't bother to change their price and, therefore, msm.co.uk didn't change! I notice msm is still showing £2.79 even now, and I never saw it at £1 or even at (current, rubbish) £1.50 on there ever.

There we are - I should trust that I am right, with what I am getting from instore, and not bother with and should totally ignore msm.co.uk! That's how I work - as long as the item is on there in A in the first place (in other words it will appear on the APG), I work ignoring its pricing, or lack of pricing, for M. It's been wrong before (for example the Sundried Tomato version of the Ryvita Thins it had at full price when they were not - NB: This information is no longer current pricing) and will be wrong again! (I think probably more because of m.com on occasion not reflecting the 'right' price than it being any 'fault' of msm.) Do check though that any item you want to appear on the APG and possibly to compare is on msm.co.uk as items go on and off all the time and this will not always be updated on the "Savvy Industries":D list.

As for this Maltesers offer, blink and you've missed it! Savvy Industries had the right price, and so did the APG. I don't even recall any hotdeals mention of these being at £1 in M for Monday (or Monday and Tuesday) only! Seems like they missed it:rotfl:. Certainly nothing coming up via Google. I can see a Maltesers Funsize 214g - so that's what they were:rotfl: - being reported at £1.39 in M on hotdeals almost two years ago. Which isn't as good as £1 for 195g:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. Indeed, with the 10%, it was better (90p net for 195g) than straight £1 in A for 214g mentioned on hotdeals 1 year and 11 months ago!

£1 for 195g now expired in M and that comparison likely to be off on the APG imminently! As am I:rotfl:, even more imminently! Byeeeeeee!
