My last reply to your posts: It is a inescapable fact that prepaid debit/credit cards and also prepaid bank accounts are used by the "unbanked" who don't have a bank account either by choice or necessity. Even a cursory look through the posts on MSE will reveal that not everyone can get even a basic bank account. Such people don't have a bank account and therefore don't have a debit card. The only way Kalixa scores is that they accept loads online by credit cards which in the case of the unbanked would be a different prepaid card.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this thread is about First Direct. You appear to be more concerned with personally attacking me rather than more reasonably replying to the topic of discussion. Bye-bye.

Your wriggling might have gone unnoticed if you didn't post in the Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning forum.
Kalixa is clearly superior in every way for overseas use....and may I add for domestic usage too.

Your 'argument' is just nonsense. You are clearly being vindictive because they did not accept what you supplied as identification, for verification. It's plain for all to see.
You are right, the thread is not about the unbanked or First Direct...but it has become about your underhand way of trying to hurt someone's business because they turned you down.
Worse still that you attempt to mislead others here to invest in inferior products and not because of a financial or ethical reason....but simply because when you moved address, as you put it, you could not provide adequate identification.
You don't need to go to an ATM to get cash from a Kalixa card, so every part of your 'protestations' has been a failure. Your intentions have been exposed.

Finally I see my 100 euro loaded to my kalixa pay card statement. Since 2 september it's a huge delay but it's ok... I hope that next time that i send a bank transfer it will be loaded in regular times.

Frustrating - I use my debit card for upto £750/day crediting as it seems to be instant and very reliable. Transfers seem to take longer and I imagine involve some real human interaction.
  • I got KALIXA as soon nas Martin wrote about the card. It did exactly what was expected , was easy to load via bank counter or at home via online banking.
I've used it extensively in UK and abroad in France, Dubai and Oman , never having any problems in either paying for items or drawing cash at an ATM or a bank abroad.
In fact I found that abroad I got a better exchange rate than UK nationals living there.
Kalixa's demise will be a distinct loss to me, I had total control of MY money together with an extra degree of security which cash lacks.
RIP. KALIXA, you will be missed!
Hopefully KITTI will prove to be as user friendly.

Martin? I don't think that Kalixa Pay was ever featured in the Travel Card tables. It was not for the want of asking. They just never included it.
Their is no demise of Kalixa. https://www.kalixa.com I think you mean Kalixa Pay.
They have other products and concentrate on business to business.
I won't be using Kitti as it's not an attractive product as compared to Kalixa Pay.

I had an issue - I lost my PIN and they said I couldn't have another because it is hard-wired into the card itself.
It took me quite a lot of effort to close the account, but I persevered and managed to in the end.
