Odds are some others have but you had that offence in mind and it was addressed at the time because the police attended.

It would be nice if the OP confirmed that the police were made aware that the driver had not given his details. As I said before, I can only assume that they did.

I'm not having a go honest, but this was a damage only. Had the road traffic act been complied with the police wouldn't have taken a statement there would be no requirement for them to do anything and would have told the OP this at the time.

The fact that this was a damage only dosn't alter the fact that the TP driver possibly shouldn't be driving and as such, the police should be looking into that. As I say, I hope the OP informed them that the TP insured was not the TP driver and that his details weren't given.

These people need to be taken off the road at the end of the day.

Theres a good chance old bill turned up and the OP spelt out the story. Cant think of a reason not to.

    Who does?

Someone you've assumed isn't insured based on no actual facts?

Im confused regarding the courtesy car I got:

Enterprise gave me a courtesy car on Monday but they said they wanted my credit/debit card for £1 and my insurance certificate.

Whats the £1 for and why they wanted my insurance certificate for a courtesy car?

They now have your credit card details. Crash it and they'll take the money off the card.

He may or may not be insured, but he certainly failed to provide the required information after an accident (see post #1). That is an offence in itself, and certainly gives good grounds to suspect that all is not as it should be.

So if i crash it then they will take £12000 off my card? Assuming that a new 14 plate car cost that much nowadays.
