Do politicians represent the people that elected them these days? Has it been true in the last 100 years?TickersPlaysPop wrote: »rather than the people that elected them....
I don't know. I guess if they havn't represented the electorate, then this is a more wider issue that isn't as closely coupled with the business interest issue you bring up.TickersPlaysPop wrote: »Corporation tax and the open door for avoidance, these huge companies are profiteering out of us all and it is holding us back from reducing the deficit.
What's wrong with corporation tax?
As Martin Lewis said in one of his videos, companies are there to obtain a profit from us. And there's nothing wrong with that. If the companies are doing so well, can't you (generic you, as in all of us) invest in those companies and reap the profits?

I don't know what you mean. Is this something to do with the consumer energy companies increasing prices when we need them most (winter) and reducing when we don't?TickersPlaysPop wrote: »Impotentence against the energy companiesTickersPlaysPop wrote: »NHS privatisation agenda
I'm not familiar with this one. Is this the hugely failed IT project for the NHS?
Not sure what this is about. I don't think I want to punish bankers. Of course, the "99%" movement probably does, but I don't agree with them.TickersPlaysPop wrote: »Lack of proper policing and punishment of bankers, some should go to jail, or the minister responsible for regulating them. It is all the scandals, inc the farcical appointment of inappropriate head of the child abuse enquiry that was obviously to delay it comfortably beyond next election, MP's expense, MP's pay rise.... It was to delay the investigation? How so? I dont know much about this at all.
The MP expenses: some seemed to be made out of mallice (and they are in jail) or mistake. MP's get a pay rise? Well, so do a lot of other people too. Nowt wrong with that.Goals

Many people believe MP's are self interested and have eyes on money for themselves and business interests.

What percentage of people in this country have enough money to risk in directly investing some in stock market to make a significant difference? Companies are making money out of everybody including those with very little on the bread line, it is morally correct for these companies to pay their fair share into the system they are making money out of, rather than bleed it dry.
What's wrong with fracking?
You seriously need to research this topic before you blindly support it.

You are probably unaware of the big 6 and billing issues with systems failing? Also the unfair pricing structure where they make the most Out of those with little money, and also those not bothered to switch supplier. Also poor switching performance.
I'm not familiar with this one. Is this the hugely failed IT project for the NHS?
You need to research the issues around the NHS.

Errr if you speak to 10 people on the high street about exchange rate fixing the majority will say bring back corporal punishment. They are currently being investigated for serious fraud and will hopefully be sent to yrs and yes in jail.
It was to delay the investigation? How so? I dont know much about this at all.
You need to.research this.

My answers are in your post above.... In between your comments.
Are you serious? lol
Conclusion, you need to open your eyes and learn what is going on around you, catch up with the rest of us and vote for change, Revolution is in the air.Peace.0 -

They apparently are not clear about what their own party policy is...
They certainly do need to sort the details and get duck in a line, but you will find people want change so much they won't mind, also, it humanises them to have a few hiccups and errors, it gives them a chance to what politicians rarely do... Put their hands up and say sorry we got it wrong.
As I said, UKIP are getting support due to a despirate desire for change, it is not just about the EU. So this slip up is not as serious as you might think.Peace.0 -

People feel UKIP are offering something new, a break from the disappointment and failure of the main parties. People just want a fresh start, a break from the corrupt big business orientated politics. I'm not sure UKIP are that option, but people are willing to give them a chance.
UKIP are definitely not that option and if that is why they vote for UKIP they are making a big mistake.0 -

It can't be because of their policies because they change with the wind.0 -

Small percentage. Probably those that don't waste loads of money on booze, gadgets, nick-nacks and cigarettes.Goals
