  • Phoned to apply for YB Plus but my ID failed...first time it happened to me. Guess a visit to branch tomorrow and get it sorted.

Apparently the advisor's fault, she didn't ask me if I have middle names. Passed this time, I asked to apply for Current Direct with YB but I am not allowed as I already have with Clydesdale. So I applied for Current Plus with Clydesdale.

Confirmation of more than one incentive payment:-

    YB Direct
    Account opened 24-11-14
    Switch complete 02-12-14
    £1000 deposit 04-12-14
    £150 switch incentive 06-01-15, (33 days from £1000 deposit).

    YB Plus
    Account opened 03-12-14
    Switch complete 10-12-14
    £1000 deposit 11-12-14
    £150 switch incentive 13-01-15, (34 days from £1000 deposit).

    Now waiting for Clydesdale:)

    CB Plus
    Account opened 30-12-14
    Switch complete 13-01-15
    £1000 deposit 13-01-15, (with switch).
    £150 switch incentive ???

Wonder if I can apply for Current Plus at YB?

    Derrick/Yorkshire boy.

I thought you could only have one interest bearing account and one non interest account, ie only one account with each of YB and CB.

What are you saying ? How many of each accounts, with each Lender ? (I seemed to have missed the multiple application thing. I have 1 x Direct with CB and 1 x Plus with YB)

I got the direct and plus account with yb...guess it means you can get two with cb as well.

I tried to get Direct account with YB but they said I can't because I already got it with Clydesdale.

CB & YB are the same company, you can only have one Direct accross the two, but can have more than one Plus acc, don't know the max, but to get the incentive on each you do need to switch an account to them and deposit the required £1000 within 31 days of the switch date.

    From YB website:
You can have a maximum of two Current Account Direct accounts, of which only one may be a sole account.

So if you have a partner, you could in theory get a joint account in addition to sole accounts each?

Yes you can only have one SOLE Current Account Direct across both brands.

    Cheers for that.
