JSA HELP (Really Need Help)

I understand completely what you are saying ANNU
I was just trying to point out to the OP that he/she may have somewhat very high expectations of their appointment.
The "decision makers" will just suggest that the OP seek alternative types of employment. With the best will in the world, I do not think they'll accept"I lost my voice and feel sick". If the GP already suspects reflux then they should have already started the OP on a trial medication.
Hopefully the OP will have their appointment soon and maybe get some answers

Totally agree. I wasn't suggesting otherwise, but the OP did seem to be fixated on "cannot work" and I was (as I did before) simply trying to say to the OP that there are other options. The OP seems to think that if the answer isn't what they wanted, it is wrong. Unfortunately the world doesn't work like that.0 -
All i know i was on the work programme after i finished uni for like 3 months, my work programme sent me to the agency which gave me the job. I am not lieing or making stuff up. The agency sent me on a contract job which i cant do at the moment. All i want to do is look for another job while i leave this job am on. I dont have any income at all and would like to go on JSA so i can re look for work again, But dont know how? The agency told me I AM not entitled to SSP nor can they offer me a another back end job. And yes the agency pays me.
That is why i am asking, if i leave this job, claim esa for a few weeks and then sign back on jsa after i am fixed will that cause any sanctions or problems?0 -
Just to get the correct info, with a doctors sick note and a letter, can i claim esa for a few weeks then go on jsa? Without attending the ESA check up? As it was stated i can claim esa for short sick time. Since i require a working voice for this job which i dont have.
All i want to do is be able to sort my health out and re claim jsa without getting sanctioned and like a way please where i can look for future work. Will claiming ESA look at why i left my job and if so re claiming jsa will they look at why i claimed esa for a short time?
And lastly will claiming ESA and then going back on jsa require a decision maker involved?
Thank you0 -
Medication has had no effect which is why i am going for a ENT as everything i eat throws back up.
I just want to be able to go back on jsa until i recover or get better and then look for jobs again.
The best advise was given on here was to go on esa, But i never been on sick, i dont know the rules? so that is why i need all the info from experts such as you guys.
Just to make things easier with the advice given, can you help me with these:
1) can i claim esa for a few weeks?
2) if yes to number 1, can i drop my esa claim at any given time before am called for a esa check up and claim JSA?
(Assuming am recovered before the ESA check up)
3) will a decision maker be involved if i go on ESA and then back on jsa after a few weeks? Since i assume i would need to re apply for a new JSA claim.0 -
My suggestion would be - don't resign, leave it to the job to tell you not to come back. You are much less likely to be sanctioned that way.
Contact whoever you were in touch with at the work programme as they will know more about the details of your situation.
Once you have been off work ill for 7 days your employer should apparently give you a form for claiming ESA https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/eligibilityBut a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

Just to clarify am not fully disabled or nothing else is effecting me, for this moment of time i cant do the call centre job. I want to be able to go back on jsa and re look for other work until am recovered?
Is the above numbers i mentioned the best solution?0 -
I would suggest looking for other work whilst still employed or ask the agendy for another assignment, going on jsa/esa wont be the end of your problems. No one i know would leave a job because of the medical problems you have described and many people still seem to manage working just fine in many different roles.0

No other role is offered to me, so i will be left without any money for food because no ssp or esa or jsa

It seems to me that the OP is hell-bent on claiming benefits rather than find a solution. I don't believe for a minute that the Agency won't find them another job.
They don't seem to be in the least bit interested in the advice they have been given because it's not what they want to hear0
