Well done Honey Bear! :j
I have stuff of a similar nature that I need to get rid of. Plus stuff that is sentimental to me, that I've had for years that'll mean nothing to anyone else so I'm thinking I should just bin itI'm not sure now is the right time to deal with it though, my mind being so muddle as it is
I found the phone number of a lad I was friends with as a kid, hadn't thought about him in years. I looked him up on facebook, he's a bloke with a big beard now! Not sure what I was expecting though tbh
I'm just pottering about today. Have paperwork to sort out, my budget to look at again and other bits and pieces.
DW has been loaded but not enough in it to put on. Washing on the airer from yesterday isn't dry yet so can't unload the WM. Need to work out something for dinner as DD2 has invited her friend to stay0 -

Yesterday I washed/dried/ironed 6 loads of washing and today I have washed/dried (luckily only needed to iron a few bits today) 5 loads mostly bedding. I did use the tumble dryer for it all but the weather is really bad at the moment so no point me stressing. Now sat watching Netfl!x with the kids. I hope we are all having a good day0 -
Last load of the day trotted to hospice shop, and an electrical thingy that was going back up to the attic is now in the boot of the car ready to go to the BHF on Monday, on my way back from the vet's.
It would be great if I could stay in this flinging frame of mind because this is the good stuff that the charities can sell for a few £££ and I am, to be honest, desperate to be rid of the fear, memories and clutter. I've been hanging on to stuff for all the wrong reasons. I now realise that most of the memories that I keep the 'sentimental stuff' for aren't actually memories that make me happy, the fear is misplaced (I could buy replacements if I ever needed them) and I love having the space.
OH spied an empty shelf in a cupboard the other day and (((hugged))) it, trying to claim it for his own. Believe me, it's possible. I explained if he cleared some of his own clutter, he could have space all of his very own. He's hyper-resistant - a long term thing. He's actually away today, which is one of the reason I can fling with impunity - normally, he'll start prodding the heap while I'm building it near the door <muttering> 'What's this? Why would she get rid of that? <raised voice> Why are you getting rid of this? I like this!' It takes hours just to get anything out of the door.
Not today!
I need the space in my head so that I can spend more time and energy on a fledgling business that really, really needs my focus.Better is good enough.0 -
Honeybear very well done. I have a mound in DH's office to ebay, I have off loaded one lot to charity but not enough. I will set myself a challenge that if it is not listed by the end of the month then away to the CS it is.
LR completely cleaned which is pleasing. DR is next on my list to tackle I think I will concentrate on that this week.
DH just finishing putting up the blind. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Evening all. Have made a start on sorting out DD's stuff today. She is a hoarder, every bank statement for the last 7 + years, things for her 'memory' box, stuff that she want to keep but not at her house, she wants them in my loft.
Lots more to do tomorrow and my house looks a mess.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
OH didn't get back until 9.30, so I cracked on with dy$oning around the place prior to tomorrow's changeovers. It'll mean a lot less work crammed into a busy Sunday which will make a nice change - I even did the stairs.Better is good enough.0

Hi all, just updating myself on the thread. Sounds like loads of you have been super-productive! I've been at work today, and i've lost my phone . Also feeling a bit behind, tons to do tomorrow!
Have not managed an early night, obviously, but have kept to my skincare reigime, so some progress.0 -
Morning everyone.
Just had a quick tidy round yesterday after I came back from town. A couple more presents bought. I didn't stay long though as it was getting too busy. I'm going back on a Monday when it's quieter for the rest.
Looks like a few of you are decluttering. I'm been thinking about it too. There is a local organisation that collects for homeless people. They do a great job. They make rucksacks up for them and collect sleeping bags and clothes. They go into town on a Saturday night and give out these and feed people.
Today I will see what's left on my list. Need to go to Mr A at some point.
Might need new fridge as back wall of freezer has come away from side so not sure if I can still use it.0
