    Morning Flypeople

    :bdaycake:
Happy birthday to your teenage DD, Kaz2905.

I bought her a beautiful cake and then the woofer had a go at it !
It was my DS1's birhday yesterday, and a few years ago exactly the same happened to his birthday cake - there was no time to make another, so I just cut out the section with the bite marks and transformed the shape into C for cake :rotfl:
I have just decluttered DH to the station en route for the model railway show at the NEC and then delivered DS1's coffee cake a day late but in time for breakfast :D

LW, thanks for the healing vibes for Willow. I think they may have worked a touch too well
Never underestimate the power of a wolf ;)

Well, I have already S&S'd the bathroom and kitchen, loaded and started the dishwasher and tidied our bedroom. Just a bit of dusting and hoovering to do later, when the neighbours are up!

So time to finish off some computer work now, then I can go off to see DGS3 this afternoon with the satisfaction of knowing that I have achieved something this week.

GWS vibes to englishrose and poorly aunties.
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks to all who need them x

Love your post, Valli! You make me laugh more often than anyone else I know.

I extracted the mouse carpped-upon blanket from the chalet yesterday and it's now washed and on the line, and another load of dog towels, dusters and various other dog and cleaning bits and pieces are twirling on a cold wash.

My RoD/office is going to have a final push this weekend because someone is in it for a week from tomorrow. And I have a sneaking feeling I might have to accommodate an extra person tomorrow night, despite having told them I couldn't. Hmm.
    Better is good enough.

Hello flyladies. DD is moving out, yay - so after walking the dogs we are going to start going through all her stuff. Have also done two wash loads today (now on airer) and been to village Christmas fair.

Loving the stories about the cakes. DD bought a coffee cake at the fair, I have explained she can freeze it in portions but she says she's just going to eat the lot. No one else here likes it.

Thank you kindly - that's made me smile. I do like spreading a little happiness or cheering someone up.

I have cleaned the bathroom - DS is home ;) so it was necessary. Having said that I cleaned nowt last weekend.

I have posted DD's dungaree shorts as she is going to a fancy dress as a minion. I was much amused that the last three characters in her postcode are 0WT (what with her being in Yorkshire). (OWT is Northern for 'anything'; conversely NOWT is Northern for nothing). I found a £ coin as I was getting back in the car! kerching!

I have cleaned the old car and vacuumed it out; it is now off the road until next weekend when it will be picked up, as I have sold it (more kerching!)

I have washed the new car.

Just had lunch and am having a :coffee: then I shall clean the kitchen. I very sensibly have decided to do the kitchen AFTER I have trooped in and out with buckets and detritis etc.

    I have stripped my bed.

Washed jumpers overnight and TD'd them at sparrows cough.

    Afternoon all

Been out with DH to collect DS1's blind which can be put up today, a frog finally eaten.
WM1 done, weather is dank so on the maidens. Will do another wash later to hopefully dry overnight.

I want to hoover an dust the LR when the GP s over and empty the grate, DH can help move furniture.

I have flung! Four years that stuff has been hanging around, 'too good for the CS and should be bay of E'd' until this morning. The local hospice has a shop very, very close to me and I just couldn't face the whole palava, try as I might, to photograph it, describe it yada yada yada. There's a shedload more of it in the attic, too, so now that I have broken the taboo of letting it go for 'owt to me' I'm well on my way. (with thanks to Valli for terminology)
    Better is good enough.
  • I agree HB. Sometimes its tempting to keep stuff "to put on ebay later" which doesnt achieve anything. Sadly I dont think you make as much on ebay these days either - and people seem more picky.

So, DS has a friend over for a sleepover. Our dog is a bit funny with people he doesnt know and with kids its not worth taking any chances - so I will take him to my Mums later. In the meantime he is in our office in his crate so I am going to keep him company and do some filing. We have also got my nephew sleeping over tonight so 4 teenage boys in the house. They had better not keep me awake!

Its raining here - again - so I have given in and put the tumble drier on. I cant cope with stuff on the airers with a half refitted kitchen and general chaos everywhere.
