All completely different. Depends which one you get, which will have different features or apps, and access to different services. Also of course depends on what kind of WiFi signal you'll get in the bedroom. Don't think about what specs a TV has, think about what you want to do with it!

Agree with al - our main tv in the living room is a wifi smart tv, catch up services work a treat, as does amazon prime and sky now - but its only a few feet from the router. Do get the occasional buffering with HD content but only seems to happen about 9pm for a few minutes.

There is such a range of choices and prices - if your wifi is great in the bedroom then a wifi tv will probably be great, if not it isn't. If you are getting it to watch catchup etc. it will be all down to your reception, and then the quality of the processor in the tv etc.

If your TV is so close, you should consider connecting it via ethernet cable as then all your "buffering" problems should disappear.

As for the OP, I would suggest home plugs and a non-wi-fi TV in the bedroom.

Find out whether you have adequate Wi-Fi reception in the bedroom first.

I'd disagree, never had any issues. Even when streaming HD content on Iplayer or Nerflix I never have issues.

It can cause problems if you have a poor wireless signal due to either distance from the router, objects between the router and TV or some sort of interference.

Exactly. That's why the OP needs to check Wi-Fi reception in that room prior to any purchase.

I don't have any problems at all with buffering, I have a Panasonic Smart TV and HD Sky box connected by Wi-Fi with the router in a room at the other end of a bungalow but still get a good signal strength.

I also have a YouView box connected with home plugs.

Everyone's individual circumstance is different. No point relying on your experience (or someone with poor Wi-Fi), the OP needs to check the individual room he wants to install the Wi-Fi-enabled TV in.
