Long haul sardining

Agreed. I can't do much about being 6' 3" & I've tried over the last 35 years but I can't do much about the bad back. If my back is having a bad spell I couldn't get into the seats at the back of the plane, if it's having a good spell I could get in but probably not out again.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

...and just as you've been served coffee :mad:I have found that it is not so much the width of the seat as whether or not the person in front of you drops their seat back
That's the moment I (sneakily) use the velcro on the on their head rest cover to fasten their hair to the seat. Sure makes them yelp as they get up from their seat

AA has gone 3-4-3 on some B777 aircraft, Etihad as well.
There are more B787 Dreamliners in service and in January BA will operate their longest sardine flight LHR-SCL with a B789.
For short haul there's the 230 seat A321 operated by Frontier, Iberia Express, VietJet, Vueling and Wizzair. Monarch's A321 has 214 seats.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Who's using 3-5-3 in the A380?
I've never flown in a 3-4-3 777 before. But Emirates use it, as do Etihad and they are both airlines that seem to regularly get praised for their service. BA use 3-3-3 and generally people seem to think BA are average. So on the face of it, there's far more to it than seat width and other aspects of the flight seem to leave a longer impact on pax.
That said, Air France are a terrible airline regardless of seating layout.
BA are going to 10 across on the 777s.0 -
Monarch is the narrowest I can find at 16.25" wide http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Monarch_Airlines/Monarch_Airlines_Airbus_A330-200.php
which is 1.75" less than the Airbus 18" economy standard width.
Seatguru have Monarch as 17.8"/18" which is about right. They're far from 16.25". They only aircraft they ever had with seats that narrow was the A300, but it was fun lol.0 -

I love the 52 more pax, so we'll have 3 fewer toilets combination.
I suppose BA reckon that by feeding their guests less, there will be not so much need for the toilets.
The changes will enable them to fly more people from Gatwick to Orlando at a smaller cost than would otherwise be the case. Sounds like a win-win to me.0 -
