Parents who allow their children to whizz round on their scooters. We had two chasing each other round the aisles last week - but the store staff did eventually collar them - mum and dad didn't seem to see the problem at all !!! (And to a lesser extent the kids in those trainers with wheels in the heels).

...I work in the local "there for you" store, and I bake the bread, baguettes, croissants, danish etc - also the hot sausage rolls, bakes, sausage & bacon baps etc - and I would like to know why people have to pull open the packaging and inspect the contents of baps? Or take food from the hot shelves, decide that no, they don't want it after all - and dump it somewhere else in the shop?

Or - worse of all - yell at me, as I'm bringing something else onto the hot shelves "chicken fillets?" or "wheres them ones without eggs?" without a please, or thank you! I have loads of lovely customers who will tap on my kitchen door and ask nicely when such and such is coming out - but I do object to those who bang on the door and yell "why ain't there any bacon baguettes?" The reason why not? Other people have already eaten them! I've got one pair of hands, shop has given me two ovens - but no-one as yet, has supplied me with a crystal ball!

    2. People who allow their children to RUN around the supermarket. I know I'll get moaned at about this one. I'd like to say that I don't mind children crying/moaning, I don't blame them as I feel like doing the same when shopping. But running at break neck speed isn't safe and its annoying.

You're not the only one. The other week while I getting a few bits for dinner at Tesco, I was looking for something. In the aisle where it was, this couple has twin boys that where running about and pulling guardians two trollies out, and screaming their heads off. Also running off everywhere.
Also hate shops that moan/give you dirty look if ask for a carrier bag for one thing (don't they think I might be getting other stuff). I don't mind companies like Aldi that are upfront with the fact they charge for bags (and no free ones), they seem less likely to moan at you.

    Hate the Xmas music.

Children that run around like it's a playground, parents taking a blind eye.

Unable to find out when offers finish in Asda.

Customers that ask the kiosk colleagues to check their lottery tickets when the queue is huge. BBC text page 555, lottery app, websites. Then just cash in the one you have won on.

My son was a screamer -I'd tend to abandon the trolley -take him outside to calm down then back we'd go -retrieve the trolley and continue.

I saw no reason for other customers to be forced to endure the racket (he was later diagnosed with a form of autism and the noise and bustle of the supermarket was a bit much as he was over sensitive to noise and crowds). I certainly didn't see any reason to be rude to other customers who had to endure his racket though. My child my responsibility to minimize the impact on others.

Some parents seem to take kids to a supermarket as a day out, you see them wandering around for ages with just a couple of things in their trolley, poor kids grizzling bored silly. A friend's son used to do it with her grandchildren so she asked him one day why? He said it was a cheap day out and couldn't see all the other interesting free things they could be doing instead.

So many people will stand there having a chat for ages when they clearly haven't seen each for years and have no interest and are either just polite or they keep trying to out do each other with their news.

People who lean over their trolleys and dawdle around.

Parents who couldn't care if their kids break things and have never heard of look, but don't touch. I was shopping recently and two girls about 4 and 5 had pulled clothing off and were stamping on it, the parents ignored it until I asked them to stop, but even then the mother pretended not to notice and they weren't told to pick the stuff up or told off.

People who decide to have a chat with the cashier, some long boring story that's of no interest to the cashier and not caring they are holding up the queue.

People in queues who huff and puff at how slow it is the whole time, yes it's annoying, but if you go shopping at peak times huffing and puffing won't make any difference.

    Thing that annoys me:

The aisle called "world food". In all my local supermarkets it covers Indian and Polish foods. With a squeak of Reggae Reggae sauce. That's it. This isn't the world guys.

I realise it's catering for the local populus without explicitly saying, but I'd like to see a lot more choice.

Retired people that moan how busy it is - on a Saturday morning. Why do they need to go shopping then?

Go on a Thursday afternoon (when I go) and its quiet!

Self checkout with enough space for about 4 items!

Yes Tesco Kilburn im talking about your hideous self checkout machines, the only ones I have ever seen where you stow your items on a tiny ledge at the top!!

Theyve just done that at Hammersmith now, looks like they are changing them all over
