Things that annoy you in supermarkets

I have noticed that staff in the biggest tesco near me are constantly stood chatting in aisles.
Not quite sure how they get away with it especially the way things are going at the moment for tesco.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
People who look blankly at the cashier when the total has been rung up and then go rooting for cash/cards/coins etc. Drives me potty. I mean, honestly, how can it come as a surprise to them that they have to pay?? And it usually happens several times in the same queue! Is it that hard to load the items on the belt and then pull out wallet/cards/cash while still in the queue?? It's not rocket surgery;).I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.

People who decide to stop and chat in the busiest aisles and even worse who bump into friends in the doorway and stand and chat while people have to manouvre full trolleys around them.
Charity bagpackers , I always say no thank you but once they started packing before I finished unloading the trolley and I had to take the bag off the man who was packing so I could retrieve stuff that he had squashed under bottles of pop :mad:0 -
Store baskets on wheels, usually with a child in charge of. My OH is registered blind and has had many "near misses"0

Top shelves too high to reach goods.
I am 5ft 2ins which is not exactly unusual.0 -
Not one person has mentioned my biggest dislike of all - the trashy, tinny 'muzak' that assaults our ears and permeates to our brains as we try to remember what we came in for! I'm sure it is deliberate, to get us totally confused so we buy all sorts of stuff we don't need!
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I feel your pain, I'm only 5ft 1 and regularly struggle.
Other people generally irritate me so I try to avoid supermarkets when I can.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Women shoppers (and it is always women) who are insincere. Confused?
It's the ones that have their trolley at 45 degrees to the aisle and say "Sorry!" to someone wanting to get past. Then 3 metres further up the aisle they say Sorry! again, and again, and again, and again.....The man without a signature.0 -
A few more from retail working friends
. Customers standing at the store entrance keeping the automatic doors open letting the cold air inside.
. Xmas music played. Imagine having to listen to the same 25-30 looped songs for 6-8 hours a day, 4-5 days a week for 6 weeks. Retailers please stop this. It's depresses everyone. So a full time employee has to endure Noddy Holder screaming 'IIIITTTTSSS CCCHHHRRRIIIISSSSTTTTMMMMAAAAAASSSS' at least 130 times.
. Customers dumping things everywhere. Ok if dumped in the same temp area - butter in yoghurts. But when the item is chilled and dumped in the baked beans or in the ice cream freezer - has to be destroyed. If you changed your mind, put it back ideally where you picked it up.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Fat people everywhere. Aisles blocked by their girth.
Trying to squeeze past them all the time.0
