I've used sponge.co.uk many times and they've been great - just in case you want an alternative! Also their cake freezes - good to know if you are sending a big cake :)

New cakes director owns another company. There is a proposal to strike that off at companies house.
    How did you pay?

Even so, they still have to show the correct ltd company details until they get the official letter stating its been struck off complete

you stated the director is striking off a company.

    companies house shows

    Name & Registered Office:
    NEW CAKES LIMITED
    110 GLADSTONE WAY
    HAWARDEN
    DEESIDE
    CH5 3HF
    Company No. 08508172

    but site shows

New Cakes Ltd Company Registered in England and Wales. Company No: 08508172. Registered address: 900 Yeovil Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 4JA

the site should show what is displayed at companies house.

either way i have emailed CH about this.

also he is only director of 1 company

The salient point that will be of most interest to the op is that I spotted the director has a company which has proposal to strike off ( or now dissolved. ) I'm not interested in nit picking.

The inference being its possible the other company may be in trouble too.

I'm asking if the op paid by credit card..

companies can be struck off for many reasons.

I had a limited company ( dormant) and for some reason i never received the notice to fill accounts, the first think i knew was a penalty notice wanting £150, challenged this and they stated it was sent out, so penalty stands, but if i paid £10 to strike company off i would not need to pay penalty, so this is what i did

both the stuck off and currently company dont seem to have assets

It seems they use the same phone number for a number of different companies. Try leaving a different message-they might call you back.
