Good Morning Chums here in North kent at the moment the sun is shining and the sky is blue but I bet it doesn't last .I have a plumber coming this morning to take of the radiator in the conservartory The old one was supposed to be coming down next Monday and a new one erected but apparently the Conservatory chaps are running late on their work because of the weather .As long as they get the new one up before I go into hospital I'm not too fussed as I won't want builders around when I come home .Plus my son-in-law is supposed to be laying me a new floor in there whilst I'm in hospital ,bless him.
Tomorrow is bone-scan day so I will take a thick book to read as I know I will be there for several hours as I can't come home until they have got the pictures developed.
I'll be glad when I've gone in and won't have all this to-ing and fro-ing. I saw my Dr. and got some antibiotics yesterday ,he is a lovely chap and so kind .he was saying how much he still missed my husband and his daft jokes . He and my old feller got on like a house on fire .My Dr. is Dutch and only in his thirties but such a nice man and give one lots of confidence.
Well all the children seem to have broken up from school now, so the roads will be a bit quieter in the mornings. I just hope that the weather will keep sunny as it's hard work keeping the little ones amused . My DD has five children and the youngest three are 3, 6,& 7, so I can see lots of 'tell me a story Nanny 'on the horizon. They are good little boys on the whole but do hate to be cooped up indoors .They still don't know about our holiday at the end of August yet.We are going to keep it a surprise as long as possible .
I hope everyone has a good day and <<Hugs>> to those in need .
lets hope the Gov. get their fingers out and helps those poor souls affected by the flooding .I can't think of a worse scenario to see all your things ruined and to be without water .How are the Mums coping with the little ones, it must be terryfying. If you are having problems I do sympathise if there was something we could do I'm sure we would .
Thank goodness not all our troops are in war zones and they can help out a bit .Politicians flying over in helicopters aren't helping much, they need practical help. not 'There there's'

    Morning :D

Scuzz, thinking of you :grouphug: I've just had a great idea - I'll come and stay with you, I can be a listening ear and also do your housework when you're feeling rubbish and you can let me use your shower :D Seriously though, keep posting here, we're all here for you, and annie, and everyone else who needs to chat :smiley:I know I haven't been around as much lately - I've had issues (don't ask lol) but things are slowly getting back to normal so I'll be here more often from now on OI YOU AT THE BACK - I HEARD YOU GROAN :D

I'm running out of clean knickers  I really don't want to use any water for rinsing out clothes but not sure what to do  I feel like I'm owed a bit of water to be honest (I know that sounds bad) but I haven't taken any bottled water OR water from the bowser down the road, I thought we'd wait til we're desparate. But last night on the news, there were people taking extra and when they were challenged, they said 'it's 2 crates per person'. It's supposed to be 2 crates per family, you selfish $&^")£($% Oooh I feel better now LOL.

I'm going to the office for an hour, I'll be taking coffee in my travel mug :D I also need to pay some cheques into the bank for work. I've been trying to bank them since friday but they've been closed since then. It's a small branch, out of the centre of town - most of the customers are businesses. They have a sign on the door saying they're open 'for a short while' every day, I just wish they'd say what time and how long for

    Morning everyone.
Well the rain is back, but i made the most of yesterdays red hot sun, infact whilst digging in the garden i got sunburn!! That must have been summer yesterday!! Back to cold wet weather now.

Plans for today go through each and every room and clean tidy and hoover, my sister maybe coming to stay over tonight not sure as i told her last night she couldnt just drop that on me and think i upset her, she has no routine and cant understand why i hate her keep phoning up trying to arrange every day of the 6 weeks hoildays, i like being at home and the kids dont moan about not going out all the time, but see wants to do something nearly every day, would be so bad but she cant drive and wants to go to places miles away!!!!!
Is it just me that gets upset when there rountine is thrown out??? Maybe i just being silly??

    Good Morning

    (((scuzz)))
(((jackieo))) - hope the hospital visit goes well
(((tru)))) - I saw that peice on the news - made me really angry - imagine those sort of people who arnt pulling together will get some grief when things are back to normal.
(((hugs))) to anyone else who needs/wants one

Sunny here at the moment - fingers x'd it lasts. Spent 5 hours on the beach yesterday and although it was a bit blowy it was lovely. DS went swimming and we all came home with a healthy glow.

Today DD is off to the pictures with a friend and OH will take DS out for a couple of hours so I can get on with my paperwork which I was meant to do yesterday. Some ironing will be done tonight.

Had a lie in again today - will do so this week then get up earlier next week, need to get dressed in a min and have a route around in the freezer for dinner tonight - forgot last night.

    Have a great day.

    Morning all
We still have dry feet here & are still sandbagged, I think the worst will be over soon.
My sewing room is nearly sorted, (ok, it's my spare bedroom) so I'll try to finish some wips today & I'm also uploading pics to photobucket, the link is on my profile.
I'm having such a good holiday, it makes such a difference not having to worry so much about money.
Pen Pin, my hubby banked with the Woolwich, he finally got his bank card through yesterday, thats about 3 or 4 months we waited & I went in the red, having to pay his fares etc while they took their time sorting it out!
    Hugs Hester

Overcast and miserable again here, but at least we are dry underfoot. Can't imagine what it must be like to be coping with the floods - you are very much in my thoughts.

Tru - I take a drink in the car with me to work. Journey is about an hour and I make a big mug of tea, then put it into an empty juice bottle with a 'teat' thing on it, so I can't spill it:rotfl:

OH home today as his work for Wed is cancelled, so looking forward to having him around the rest of the week - and he still gets paid, so that's the best bit.

REally have to knuckle down and lose some weight as I am my heaviest ever  . Slimming World has been my most succesful to date, so may go back there, combining it with OS of course! Will have to get much more organised in menu plans and shopping as I think all the ad hoc stuff has contributed (and not very OS either........)

We have Moorhens nesting on the bank of the stream that runs alongside the house. They are on their third brood this summer, though have only seen 3 chicks get up to 'teenager' status. Just about to hatch the third lot - there were 7 eggs, though now only 5. Saw a group of 7 magpies in the garden this morning, so can't help but think that they may have been the cause of the demise......... The little Moorhen chicks are so sweet - balls of black fluff with a small red beak poking out of one side! Anyway, they are very grateful for my OS cooking remnants - or at least I think they are.......... Oo-er, wonder if that is the real cause of the chicks' demise???

    Anyway, must dash

Hugs to those that need them

Happy 'summer' hols to those that have the kids at home!!

scuzz & annie, mrs_mix and anyone else who'd like one (((((hugs)))))
scuzz - it is a shame I am not local as I am scary too! Unfortunately these things happen when !!!!! cats get teeth. He thought he had a cushy number money and GF on tap if he felt like one (and not when he didn't), now he's high and dry and will fight dirty.
Good job you are coming back to form Tru as I have only 4 nights at home in the UK over the next 5+ weeks, so need someone else to waffle on instead of me! (hope you get water back on soon, if not come up here for your shower - only a 3 hour drive!!). Re the pants - its either wash some out or buy some more at Matalan or wherever!
charlies_mum - that poor mouse, it will be more frightened of you then you of it.
jackie_0 I know if it not like you but I would pull the sympathy card with the builder asking them to ensure it is finished for you coming out and giving time for sil to do the floor. You need somewhere nice to sit and recouperate. Look after you.
dlb - daft isn't it our DS preferred staying on a camp site playing than going off to places. No it isn't daft routines are important with kids, they know where they stand then.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?

    .

I wouldn't bet on it - and there's more than one, and it's a well known fact that mice can have 100 babies every two minutes, so there will probably be thousands of them by now

Think I might be letting my imagination get the better of me now, so I'd better calm down and get myself into grown-up, logical 50 year-old mode :D

    Good morning every one!

(((HUGS)))) to all who need one.

Scuzz, if you want some moral support + physical backup let me know - I'm on crutches but I can be very dangerous!

Same old same old here. Gonna phone some private hospitals in London and see if I can get one. Calling teh tree surgeons as well + get that sorted, along with a vets visit for the cats.

DH is looking in the freezer right now to see what he can find meatwise for dinner. He can't ID any meat when its frozen (or not) so he's bringing anything he can't figure out to me to tell him what it is.

    Have a good day everyone!
