Hey you!
I am glad to hear you have been given something. Try not to get too agitated about side effects; you might see things that aren't there. It takes a while for it to build up in your system, but am excited that the doc gave you counselling number. I was given one by my GP, had a telephone appointment 2 days later and an actual appointment shortly after that, once my notes had been discussed at a round table meeting and it was decided which person would be best placed to help me. So get calling, and see if you can get similarI am impressed the NHS have made access to counselling easier via a GP.
As for DH... bless him, but it must be hard on the kids sometimes, with things like the hoover incident. Frustrating for everyone involved! Hope you are ok
Bubblesmum I read your post wrong and thought you were saying Lucky should share husbands with her GP :rotfl: :eek:xx

Cheers Lilt, I rang the number for the counselling service the GP gave me, and I'm having a telephone consultation on Monday. I assume it's a similar set up to your experience.
Been quite wobbly tonight, literally! My right leg keeps shaking, I feel sick and I've got a dry mouth. I was gagging when I was cooking the boys' tea, poor DH will have to wait for his!
Took the boys rock climbing today and one of DS1's friends came too (his Mum paid for him though!). They all really enjoyed it XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Fab news about the number and telephone session.
Awful news about your leg etc! Yesterday I had those exact symptoms on the bus  - Had a dead to the world Jelly on my lap sprawled awkwardly and my legs felt like they were going out from under me, shaking weirdly so I was clinging on to her to stop from dropping her. I was sick in my mouth several times (TMI sorry) but couldn't do anything about it. And the dry mouth followed me around all day. So maybe it is some kind of bug? Does sound worrying though so no wonder you were worrying about side effects. Keep an eye on it hun. Don't like it when you're not well
Wow to rock climbing. Awesome mum pointsxx

Glad you got sorted at the doctors Lucky. The telephone counselling is what Mr SA was meant to have but switched his phone off. At least you're getting somewhere now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

The telephone counselling session I had recently (to assess whether face to face sessions were required) was fabulous, but sadly the f2f sessions aren't with the same counsellor.
I doubt if your afternoon wobbles were related to the ADs, Lucky, but your anxiety could definitely result in IBS-like symptoms.
So glad you are starting to get help to help you cope! What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Thanks everyone. Slept on and off throughout the night, the gagging and dry mouth continue but the leg spasms seem to have stopped. Lilt, I'm sorry to hear you feel the same, do you think you have a bug or could yours be anxiety related too?
Satchmo, sorry to hear you need counselling too. Anything we can help with?
Hugs SA, that must be very frustrating for you when things are arranged and Mr SA doesn't follow them through XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hello Lucky-excellent news about the telephone consultation, I hope all goes well for you and it helps you to make steps to feel better. Just remember its a slow journey, but you will get there...a fact I need to convince myself of regularly....not easy!
I had my sixth f2f counselling session yesterday and although it helps, I only have a maximum of 2 sessions left. I made a bit of headway yesterday, counsellor gave me homework on low self esteem...just because I have a hard time focussing on the positives, and dwell on the negatives...apparently its an effect of my childhood...oh god!! And typing that made me cry...oops. I repressed a lot of it, but the bits I remember are negative.
After that it looks like I am being referred to a psychologist...
I hope that you have a good support network around you because that helps a lot. I have good friends, family and a great and wonderful BF

Hello Lucky! Congrats on moving so fast with the counselling and AD s. Any side effects go really quickly and you will start to feel positive effects after a couple of weeks. It's all good signs that your brain is soaking up the serotonin it needs to level your mood. Just push through and treat it lime an inconvenient bug and you will see really positive changes soon. Combined with the counselling it'll be a really powerful combination to help you.
You are a marvellous lady!!!With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!
