GSL is fast becoming a twonk !JustAboutThere wrote: »Well, I did say I thought Group Scout Leader was deliberately-on-purpose ignoring the context of your prior email. Now I see what you'd actually written - I know it. Bad man!
Reply and ask "are you happy to process my resignation or should I send it to the District Commissioner"? - (or whatever is the equivalent for Scouts). That should get a reaction or, at least, get him focussed on the fact you're serious0 -
Oh wow, so many presents! Thank you Granny :A. I was going to say it must be my birthday, but that's way more than I ever get for my birthday :rotfl:.
BM, you know the night out wouldn't be complete without you!!
Satchmo, so pleased to hear exDH has been moved to the Support Group. It was the best thing ever when my DH was moved over, not only financially but so much less stressful without having to attend silly work focused meetings when he was nowhere near able to work. Don't even get me started about them trying to trip us up and catch us out .
JAT, I love the word 'twonk' and you are so right!! I've been sorting out Beavers stuff again today and thinking to myself that I won't have to do it much longer.
Been to the farm shop for eggs today and nipped in to Mr A's for a present as DS2 is at a party on Saturday. Other than that *whispers* there's not a lot happening *touches wood*!

Not sure if it's side effects of the new tablet DH started last night, but he's been super tired and extra forgetful today
. Just little things like "When did you light the candle Lucky?", er I didn't DH, you did! He's also been quite snappy too. None of those things are totally out of character, but they haven't been as much of a problem the last few days and then very much heightened today. I'm noting this on here so I can keep an eye on it.
I got a wee break from it this afternoon though as he spent some time with his best mate who is off work on holiday this week. They were meant to be clearing out BM's outhouse together but it ended up that BM was fixing another friend's car so DH just hung around for the company. At one point his strength was required so he felt good to be useful. The app that I use to monitor him when he's walking round the village isn't working at the moment so I was  til he got home. Good job it's just a 5 minute walk!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

DH has continued to be super tired today so definitely think it's the new tablet. As he says though, he wouldn't care if the tablets made him turn green and grow a third leg, as long as they control the seizures!
I realised today that I couldn't remember the last time we saw the Consultant Neuropsychiatrist, so I searched the calendar on my phone. It said it was 22nd November last year which I didn't think was right, so I got out the last letter they sent to us and sure enough it was . It also said in the letter that DH was to be reviewed again in 6months which should have been May! Can't believe I let that one slip through the net!. I rang them straight away but the girl who answered the phone was as much use as a chocolate fireguard and couldn't tell me why another appointment hadn't been sent out. She said the Consultant would call us on Monday (yeah right!!). Hopefully his secretary will though. Must remember to call them if I haven't heard anything by Monday afternoon.
Today hasn't been a NSD as DS2 had a dress down day and cake sale for Children In Need which we obviously donated to. I don't mind that at all, but we haven't spent anything otherwise which is a good thing. DS2's 5th birthday is in January and he's been asking for a party at a soft play place. I've costed it up today and it would be £285 if he invited his whole class . I've broached the subject with him of either just having a party there for SOME of the class, or having a party in the village hall for everyone, or even not having a party and the four of us going somewhere fun for the weekend instead. He said he'd think about it (!!) but meanwhile I need to watch the pennies to pay for whatever he decides!
I paid the £4 (well, I rounded it up to £5) that I saved from not going to Clubbercise last night off my Bcard balance. Thinking about it now I should have put it in the birthday party fund. Never mind, it's done now and it will help in the sub £3k crusade!!
Hope everyone has had a lovely day and stayed dry. It's rained cats and dogs all day here but we've faired better than most of the UK according to the news! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

It poured here for most of the morning and then turned into the sunniest, brightest day we have seen in ages... I spent all day at work though
Good to hear things are coming together. I am sure your DS2 will pick something that won't be too costly. It's amazing how kids can surprise you.
Are the side effects of DH's tablets likely to be a constant thing or do you think it is something that is temporary while his body adjusts to the new chemicals. It could also be that it is reacting with something else he takes and the docs might be able to tweak things. Stay positive
October xx0 -
Cheers October! The new meds will increase in dose every 2 weeks until eventually after 8 weeks he's at the dose they want him to be at. It could be a long 8 weeks if he suffers every time they increase!! After 8 weeks we start to reduce one of the other tablets, so that could cause side effects too.
Och, it's all part of the fun :rotfl: XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Evening PLMBL, didn't realise you had a new diary, only just found you!!!
I think your DS birthday is roundabout the same time as my DD2's, I haven't even decided what we might do yet, need to get thinking about it really!!!
Hope your have a lovely weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Welcome to the party Mummy! The boring, pjs and slippers house party that is:rotfl:.
Yes I think I remember us discussing our kiddies parties last year and whether or not they would get snowed off! We were so lucky with the weather in the end, I hope we fair as well this year! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Full on day that has required a lot of organisation skills!! This morning we went to see the Optimus Prime Truck and BumbleBee at a toy store nearby. The boys are both Transformers fans and DS2 went in full Optimus Prime costume, so much so that the organiser wanted photos taken with DS2 in :A.
Back home for a quick lunch and then over to my Mum's to drop some things off, as she offered to have the boys stay over tonight (:j) but DS1 wanted his Xbox etc set up so he could play while he was there, and Mum can't manage that! Then we dropped DS1 off with MiL while DH and I took DS2 to a party. I had to leave them there and go off to work, and then MiL and DS1 picked them up an hour later. It's ridiculous how nervous I was at leaving them, and I made sure all the other Mums would look after them for me and that one of them had MiL's number incase anything went wrong. It went ok but it made me sad that it has to be that extreme and I can't just leave Daddy and son together confidently.
Anyway, MiL and DH then had an hour or so to feed the boys their tea before my Mum collected them at 6pm. After that, MiL brought DH to the Supermarket to meet me from work and we did a bit of shopping. DH has fallen off the diet wagon and bought pizza and cookies etc but I've been strong and stuck to the plan. I hope my halo doesn't slip and choke me :rotfl:. I also hope DH's sugar cravings aren't a sign of worse to come as they often happen before seizures:(.
Talking of DH and seizures, he was very jerky in his sleep last night, but nothing came of it. He's also been poor at following conversation today and I've had to repeat myself several times. I could have fancied doing something more exciting with our night off tonight but didn't really think he was up to it. Don't know who I was trying to kid anyway, all I ever want to do after a busy shift at work is collapse on the sofa anyway!!! And don't even mention the hat hair .Debts @ LBM £23,729.31.
