No, thank goodness SA, they have cast DS2 on his own  . I am VERY happy about that  . He will be as part of a ‘classroom’ scene I believe. Xx

Thanks all for your congrats to DS2. He’s strutting round rather proud of himself  .

DH has been much better the last few days thank goodness. Hopefully we will get a while longer before it goes downhill again. We are off out for the day tomorrow and it would be ideal if he was “with it”. I was invited to a ‘Bloggers Picnic’ earlier in the year, due to take place in August. Obviously Covid has put pay to events like that, so the venue has offered me a free family day out instead, in exchange for putting it on my Facebook blog. I’m really looking forward to it as we haven’t been anywhere for months. It’s an outdoor venue and they are limiting the amount of visitors so I’m confident it will be perfectly safe.

Went out for a walk with the dogs this afternoon in lovely sunshine. Got about 10 minutes away from home and the Heavens opened. I was like a Miss wet T-shirt entrant by the time I got home! My blouse went see through  and my jeans were soaked to my undies too! I literally couldn’t have been any wetter if I’d showered with my clothes on. The joys of dog ownership  .

Speaking of dogs, my lovely Oakley is 4 today!

And a wee bit about money as that is what this diary is supposed to be about  . I won a Monopoly game for the second time this year, and a friend is going to buy it off me for £10. I’ve listed more clothes that are too big for me on eBay and have some bids. And I received a free school meals voucher from DS2’s school to see us through the 7 week holidays. Instead of 7 x £15 vouchers though it was one of £105. It all had to be used in one go so our cupboards and freezer are full to bursting now  . Very grateful for that Xx

Afternoon all.

Our day trip out was a roaring success. We genuinely had a lovely time, and the crazy golf was great fun. Although the 4 of us have been in the same house together for months, we are usually doing different things, so it was nice to do something together. I wrote about it on the FB blog, so won’t bore you all again, but we really did enjoy it.

Rowan is in disgrace. On Tuesday night I found a baby bird in the garden, and as I was trying to rescue it, Rowan came steaming out and swallowed it  . He actually ate it whole  . I tried to prize his jaws open but it was well gone when I succeeded. As much as I’m devastated for the poor bird, I’m also worried about Rowan. He has been making awful smells since, and I know birds carry salmonella, so I’m hoping we won’t need a vet visit  . 

Our boiler lock out light keeps coming on too  . More expense.

And to finish my moan, DS2 has to wear black school trousers for filming next week. His school trousers are blue, so I have to source some new ones.
