Does Mr Lucky have a CEA card? Our local cinema will only allow carer discount now with a card. Thankfully we have always had one but Mr H saw a number of people flustering around with dla letters and being turned down.

Sometimes we all just need a day at home, we've needed a lot more of these days recently, well replace we've with Mr H :o the rest of us enjoy the odd day home then cabin fever sets in

Hope you are being kind to yourself

  • Hi Mrs H!

We do have a CEA card. Worth it’s weight in gold for £6 per year! Wouldn’t be without it.

Today we took DS2 and his little mate trampolining. Moody teen didn’t want to come. The trampoline park had a half price offer on, so it was £4 each which isn’t too bad. DH and I just watched.

Cashed out for another £5 Amazon voucher with Swagbucks :T. That’s £45 on there so far in 2019 which is quite good considering I don’t put that much effort in :o.

    Not insensitive at all.
I worked on a Saturday 4-7pm. I had to have everything organised before I left for work in terms of what the boys would have for tea/need while I was out. MiL came round ‘to babysit’ while I was out which DH and the boys weren’t overly keen on, and I always felt the need to spend the day tidying before she came. More often than not, DS2 had some party or other to attend on a Saturday which made it more difficult to organise, and DH usually worked himself into a flap about his Mum coming. MiL then started going out quite a bit on a Saturday night so couldn’t come round, which pleased DH but made me very nervous leaving them all (DH had a couple of seizures that the boys had to deal with alone, and I worried that it was the stress of ‘being in charge that attributed to them. DS1 told me he didn’t want the responsibility if MiL couldn’t come round :(). On top of that, as much as I enjoyed the banter with the girls, I worked on the busiest shift and my feet literally didn’t touch the floor. Not good for my foot problem (plantar fasciitis) and it was getting really bad to the point where I could hardly walk. More and more people left the department without being replaced, and I ended up doing the work of 3 or 4 people. I had countless holiday requests refused as there was no one else, and the whole thing became more stress than benefit. I also felt that I was doing ‘top up shops’ after work that I probably would have managed without had I not been there anyway, so I was spending as much as I earned sometimes .

I should probably look for something else, perhaps while the boys are in school, but anything I earn over £20 will be taken back off me, so I need to find something suitable Xx

I can see why you stopped working, that sounds really stressful .

Glad you've been to the cinema, those free tickets were a good prize :).

  • Today has been a NSD :j.

Met my sister for lunch and she paid :A. Had the most amazing Greek Haloumi wrap and I could happily go back and have another it was so tasty! She’d been having a clear out of clothes and shoes etc, so she’s given me 4 big black bags to go through. She says it’s up to me whether I keep or sell them :T.

A year ago today we were on our way to Florida :( Xx
