Do you find it expensive to follow Lucky? Do the boys eat the same as you?

It can be expensive or not as you wish wannabe. It’s cooking from scratch and most of the meals you’ve mentioned making on your diary are SW friendly. I tend to use veg in season to keep the costs down, lots of things like pasta in tomato based sauces, and meal planning so that the I get the most out of the things I buy. The boys eat similar to us but not always the same as they are quite fussy. I’m vegetarian but the boys and DH aren’t, but I often make us all the same and then add meat to theirs if necessary.

    Today we’ve had;
    Overnight oats and berries
    Ratatouille (with meatballs)
Slow cooked gammon/Quorn sausages, new pots, carrots and cauliflower cheese

    Xx

Thank you Lucky, might have another look

I would do it from home though rather than go to group :o

..The rest of my day has been spent making a Roman shield with DS2 and a 3D plant cell with DS1. Makes you wonder who’s homework it really is .

My favourite projects were a castle for DD and a volcano and dinosaur nest for DS. I was quite proud of them :rotfl:

I enjoy the creative stuff really. Quite proud of the 3d plant cell :rotfl:. I’d rather do that kind of thing than help with maths for example.

It’s been super windy here today. Our trampoline ended up in the road after flying over the hedge . This was despite it being weighted doen with bags of gravel on the feet. I really don’t know how that happened.

DS2 went on a bike ride with a friend and his Mum. He came back feeling quite ill as the wind had started while they were out and he was worn out and freezing. Got him warmed up in the bath and then into a onesie with a hot Chocolate. Hope there’s no lasting illness or anything.

Went to Mr T for shopping and spent £70 . Don’t feel I got a great deal for my money. Looking at my receipt I think I’ve been over charged for laundry pods, so will see about that tomorrow Xx

Must have been really windy for a trampoline to take off especially if it was weighed down. It's freezing here as well, the sort of cold that takes your breath away when you just open the door. Hope DS is OK now he's warmed up again.

I seem to get less and less in my shopping these days from Mr T but it's handy for me to shop there at the moment. I also do a 2nd shop at Iceland for some stuff. Not easy to keep in budget all the time though.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend. x
  • Fired off an email of complaint to Mr T’s last night, and I’ve had a response saying they will give me back double the difference, so £6 on it’s way back to me :T.

Inspired by Hairy talking of PPI checks on her diary, I decided to do some online digging. I really didn’t think I’d had any PPI apart from the mortgage policy which I’ve already reclaimed (and the Lloyds TSB refund which they gave me voluntarily), but Barclaycard have confirmed I had a policy with them in 1999. Complaint made and fingers crossed for a refund, but nothing lost if it’s a no.

DH went to the gym with ex-army mate today. First time since before Christmas. Think it did us both good to have a break from each other and have new things to talk about afterwards.

I raised a PPI complaint with Barclaycard (also for an account in 1999) and followed it up with a phone call as I realised they had also taken on at least one other card provider I had had a card with.

I had two separate complaints upheld and ended up with the refunds in my bank a couple of days before I got letters to confirm I was being refunded :D

    Good luck!
