  • Happy Birthday to your son, sounds as though he had a lovely day.
  • Quieter day here today than yesterday in terms of not doing much, but DH has been repetitive again. He’s been asking a question, listening to the answer and then asking the same question again. I had a little bit of a bubble in frustration, but managed to blame it on the Beauty and the Beast song on Dancing on Ice :o.

Big week next week for DS1. We have to choose GCSE options .

I remember the fun of DD choosing GCSE options. Does DS have an idea of what he wants to do. Hope tomorrow is less repetitive for you. x
  • Evening all :D.

Absolutely freezing here. -5 on the way back from school meeting tonight .

DS1 seems to have settled on his options. The school offer exam routes of both GCSE or vocational BTEC courses, but as he is in top sets he only gets to choose from the GCSEs. He wants to be a graphic designer, so is going for Art and Computer Science, French, History and then the obligatory core subjects. As long as he is happy and tries his best, I’m happy too.

MiL very kindly paid for me to have my hair cut and coloured today. I feel much brighter and better about myself :A. DH and I are going back to chub club on Friday also, so hopefully I’ll look better soon too!!

  • Shower wouldn’t work this morning . Thankfully it was just the switch that was broken, so it’s cost £14 to replace. Could’ve done without spending that, but it also could’ve been a lot worse.

Bought the Cl0ser magazine today for the free joining voucher for SW to restart my journey. £1.95 for the magazine, means £10 saved :T. 10 weeks to look less like a beached whale on holiday :o.

Need to do a freezer/cupboard inventory, as it’s been a while since the last one. I need to see if I can build a bit more of what’s already there into the meal plan, to save a bit of the shopping budget. That said, I don’t want to take it all down to nothing incase we have another Beast from the East .

Clever DS :) It helps with choosing options if they've an idea of what they'd like to do even if they don't end up doing that.

Glad you got the shower working and the magazine was a very savvy buy :T x
  • DS's GSCE options sound sensible and I agree that it's an advantage to know what you want to do as none of mine did at that age!

How lovely of MIL to pay for your cut and colour, it always makes you feel good once you've had it done, after all you wear your hair with every outfit!

Good luck at chub club tomorrow.
